It looks like the cable might be routed incorrectly. Could you provide a more zoomed-out picture? I recommend getting the frame checked out, as it seems to be wearing into the carbon layer.

How is that cable routed?
But no its seems damaged, defs repairable though..

I once went to a bikeshop to have my cables shortened. The mechanic told me that it’s better to have long cables than short cables.

why is the cable wrapped around like that??

Get the shifter off , detach the gear cable and get the hose round the front then reroute the gear cable how it is now – put the shifter back in and re wrap the bars , re cable the front mech , readjust gears and done

1. That’s hydraulic line, there is no cable in there.
2. to fix this, you would undo the stem, remove the wheel, rotate just the fork in the frame 360° counter clockwise, remount the wheel, reinstall the stem.
3. It is a bit hard to believe it came this way from canyon, and for a novice builder it would be easy to lose track of the fork rotation when building a bike for the first time, since the bars and wheel don’t arrive attached.
4. regardless, there’s very little rubbing to the carbon itself. The paint is white, the primer is yellow, the carbon is black. Have it looked at in person.

That “rub” scratch seems suuuper deep
At least now i know canyon hides the welds with that beige solid mass between the paint and the aluminum
