So I ride mostly enduro with this helmet and had a fair share of crashes with it. Nothing big and no hits on the head, at least none that I noticed which is kinda my problem. I think that those dents maybe come from low hanging branches but I'my not quiite sure. Do you think the safety is jeopardized or not? I don't want to safe money when it 's about safety but I also don't want to spend money to replace sth that maybe still is totally fine, esp. because I don't earn a lot of money. Any opinions?

With the dent, and if you’re questioning it. No. Brain is good. Keep brain safe.

Mine looks far worse. Some people are just looking for an excuse to dump 50-200 bucks

  3. The rest of the helmet is fine, but if you hit those same spots again, you might be in for some brain hurt. Shell material has already deformed, another hit in that same area will send a lot more force into your head. So ask yourself, do you feel lucky?

If you’ve had it for 3+ years and it looks like that I’d replace it. UV damage, sweat, etc isn’t helping

Those look like cosmetic ‘dropped my helmet’ dents rather than I crashed and this thing saved my brain dents. Better safe than sorry if you don’t know how they got there. My helmet looks similar but I know for sure that it’s not crash damage. Helmets are not a lifetime purchase so this could be a good a reason as any to get a new one.

Helmets are a consumable. They are one time use and they deteriorate with time, sweat, and sun exposure. If you have to question it, replace it. If it’s less than a few years old a lot of manufacturers will offer a discounted replacement.
