    It’s a 1985 SR500 in “sea sprite” green. All it needed was a cleaning and air in the tires. I swapped the seatpost and saddle for mine and took off. 🙂

    That’s OG, with those riveted on housing guides.

    I think you can fit 28s on those frames, and it’d be kinda period incorrect, but it’d be way more comfy.

    This is a great find for you and if it were my bike the following things I would change on it starting with…

    Get rid of the obsolete 27 inch tires for the better ones 700X23 C or 25 C tires and then the rims if steel go aluminum it’s better and takes a bit off of some weight and is a lot better.

    Seat Post..

    Again go aluminum to take off some more weight there too.

    Handlebars…

    If aluminum keep it on there.

    Derailleur skip this if its a stock type and is the original for this bike ditto for the front changer keep it all stock.

    Enjoy it because you have a good looking bike to ride there.
