Newbie to mountain biking so this is probably a stupid question, but what is happening to my tire here? I see spots like this all over the tire but it doesn’t seem to be deflating, at least not fast. It’s tubeless and I thought the goop inside of the tire is supposed to seal any small punctures that occur. It’s been a week since I’ve ridden it and these spots still are here with wet liquid. Any clue why, what is happening? Thanks!

You’ve got a little puncture which the sealant in your tire is working hard to keep shut!

If you have a bunch of them, it may be time to swap for a new tire

  2. You have a puncture the sealant is trying to seal.

If the puncture is small, and the sealant is constantly leaking, it’s possible whoever poured the sealant into the tire did not shake the bottle well, and only the runny liquid contents made it into the tire, leaving the heavier/chunkier matter behind in the bottle.
