So I’ve had this bike 12 months, I commute so about 800miles in that time and just recently it’s been creaking… so I took it in for a service and the guys were convinced it was the bike post, the front end, the handle bars… said the sound can echo etc. but I am convinced it’s coming from bottom bracket… anyone any ideas? Or had similar?
I wouldn’t have thought that was enough mileage for a new bottom bracket but… who knows?
Just had bike serviced… still creaking/ticking

Can you see the chain catching anywhere on the cassette or chainrings?
If they checked the seat and the rest, then it’s your bottom bracket.
Take it back to them. If they charged u money to fix that problem and they didn’t even fix it then they need to fix it
Anybody check the pedals? Only during cranking. Take one foot off at a time.
A bottom bracket doesn’t need to be bad to creak, if the cups/threads/mounting surface wasn’t greased properly grit will make it crunch and creak like this
