if you feel like you’re bearing down a little bit too much on your arms and you’re a little bit hunched over in your upper back I want you to give this a try I want you to sit up tall when you’re on your bike on a turbo trainer and put your dominant foot at the bottom of the pedal stroke I want you to suck your tummy button towards your lower spine just a two out of 10 and then at the same time I want you to relax your lower back very important now start leaning forward keeping this lower back relaxed relaxed relaxed let your hands go on the bars relax around this and see if that helps start bending from the hips instead of your back and see if that helps you feel more comfortable on your spine on your next rade

  1. First one is an effort position, second one is a sunday ride lol. Doesn't help to cue like this and lose your thoracic engagement if your pelvis cant follow and you don't have abs/lats in place.
Horrendous to see the ribs flaring in the end and a broken spine line above the iliac crests for no reason, he had a great position at the start and he probably knows it.
Better to drill shoulder/lat mobility and strenghten the neck, spine + serratus anterior so the rider doesn't shrug when he's tired.
