Hey yall! Trying to get into biking and wanted to ask which is better? No descriptions on both posts for the bike other than still ridable. Would love to get into the specs
The Repco has some damage to the hoods (the rubber cover on the brake levers), and a recently replaced rear wheel. Both bikes are very used, they look like daily drivers. Both have mostly original or original style components. Pretty similar from the photos, decent reliable steel frame and fork, similar drivetrain, both have single pivot brakes.
I can’t determine enough about the condition from these photos to make a good recommendation. I’d go with the Nishiki from the pictures.

Both nice original condition retro bikes, but with that comes expected maintenance (eg at a minimum probably new tyres on the Repco by the looks, and possible scarcity of parts at your LBS). I imagine both would feel quite wobbly to a newbie with the narrow bars, wheels and slender frame. Either way, make sure they fit you and that means checking both seatpost and stem are not seized. I like old Repco’s but the Nishiki seems that bit more modern/quality fit out.
