the French Alps awaited the pelatin of the Dufine for the eighth and final stage of the race led by Tre Puga going into the final stage by a minute and 1 second over Yonas Vineor Patcha in the yellow jersey French fans eagerly awaiting their heroes Leapovitz the best young rider and one of the old ones saying goodbye Hman Baldi with his final day on a bike as a road professional After his guard of honor things got on the way and just over 130 kilometers awaited the riders as they went up towards the Italian border leaving Valda and finishing at Valsuni up on the plateau 133.3 km exactly and plenty of climbing with it The final climb finishing around 5ks from the finish There was a break up the road and Mata Faul was the chief instigator He’d attacked as many as three times in the opening 12 km He finally got a goss to another group 11 were up the road and he with 58 km to go went to try to secure points in the green jersey classification Pogacha was leading that particular prize but 10 points there would give Fool a chance to try and secure the jersey at the end That would depend what happened with the end of the stage With Emrig Mass up the road as well Uno X Mobility were trying to ride to secure what would be their first ever top five in a world tour race in general classification Not too wary of Mass who was almost 8 minutes down in 10th place in the GC Bacha sat in the pelatin and waited it out Vonool went to take almost a minute with just under 50ks to go Three minutes on the bunch at this point and Lechnes alongside Court helping Tobius Hall and Johannes try to remain in fifth Would the GC teams be able to do anything behind just over a minute the gap between first and second and just over a minute soon the gap from Fondul to those chasers 32 km remaining and the Dutchman looking as combative as ever Bruno Almire of Datlong was mopping up points behind and he went into the lead in the King of the Mountains classification Also in the break was Septus Valent there as well on the descent as a bit of rain fell There was a little bit of movement Uno X alongside Pugachard and Vingor taking a little bit of a gap Both times that that happened though they were both brought back Fool’s gap was reducing with 20 km to go and approaching the final first category climb He in the end decided that was that with 16 km remaining He’d done his bit as far as getting the points was concerned He now had to wait to see what Kugacha could do Ivan Romero committed himself for Embri Mass and the final climb began with a gap of 123 to the yellow jersey group Riding on the plateau out over the top that final climb just under 10 km long Roman Baldier like Machapul decided that his final climb in a bike race would be one he’d enjoy at his own pace And in the main yellow jersey group an attack from Remco even started to make things more interesting Vingora would follow Pugacha naturally and the gap was at 58 seconds There had been a crash before here that had put Paul Sixas in a bit of problem and Johannes was riding for his life with even still just ahead at this point He was with Lenny Martinez Martinez attacked just under 3ks from the top of the climb Mass at first ask could not respond Vingor would then try No response this time from neither Johannes nor with Van Pank having dropped back to help Panchcha not seemingly too interested in chasing things down for the stage win and Martinez was going to have an opportunity Mass in the meantime was soon caught as was Septus It was Martinez versus Pogach and Vingor They were riding together but were they riding hard enough martinez went over the top and he was roared on by the French fans 48 seconds his gap with just over 5 km to go The scenes were spectacular The gap was still looking good 3 and a half km from the line and Martinez who’d already won a stage at Parinis and in Randy this year looking to take his third world tour win of the season A bad week as far as he was concerned in the general classification He dropped off and lost a lot of time but was bouncing back well Half a minute going into the last 2 km as even a pulled attack behind looking for what he could get against Lipovitz But he needed a heck of a lot of time if he was to take the white jersey That realistically wasn’t going to happen but it was happening for Martinez and Bahrain victorious He hadn’t won a world tour race until the start of this season He now has three and is on his way to the to France Looking like a man who could pull off something special on a stage there Victory to Lenny Martinez and behind half a minute down Yonas Vingor coming and sprinting for second Bulga having done his job not interested Delight for Lenny Martinez who won the stage Mutual respect between Vingor and Pugachar The rivals will meet again at the start of the tour A brilliant win for the young Frenchman [Music] Top 10 on the day Rounded out by a minute and 1 second Farah victorious enjoying their day Finally they were victorious as was Tale Pogacha A 99th professional win beating Vingor by 59 seconds in the GC Lipovitz ahead of Ignapul on the podium and Pogacha becoming the first reigning world champion since Belarino in 1981 to win the Dolphin He also won the points classification level on points with Father Paul but taking it thanks to his three-stage wins Ah would take the king of the mountains jersey and it was a brilliant goodbye The last dance for Roman Baldi as he leaves professional cycling as a rider Like many races you’ll be able to see him live with us on TNT Sports as he joins us for the tour to France We hope you’ve enjoyed the Duffy Plenty more racing to come on our channels [Music]

Well done all riders.
I somewhat feel a touch of sadness for T P. He is a fantastic athlete and he seems to have the ability to always win. My point is stressing himself, feeling that ‘am I a freak?’ I’d say he isn’t freakish at all. He is a normal person who happens to be very very good at what he does.
Thank you Romaine its been a pleasure.
Salut Bardet, you will be missed! Still remember that 2014 Tour 🙂
So sad to see Roman Bardet retire. What an absolute champion 🏆🏆.
Great to see what that meant to Martinez…I MUCH prefer that to a nonchalant win by Pogacar
Pogi 💉💉💉💉💉
Au revoir Bardet ❤
Bardet coming 2nd in the 2016 TdF- a deserved joy for the hosts. Thank you for the memories.
Pogacar passeggiava su vindegard😂 QUESTO BATTE IL CANNIBALE
How much does it cost to bribe the UCI?
Such a boring stage. Remco and Jonas should have gone to the Giro – hard to see them winning the tour unless pog crashes badly
Hats off to Tobias Johannessen at Uno X at 5th over all! Interesting team
Good bye Bardet❤
Thanks for the memories Romain Bardet! Always an entertainer right to the end!
Van der Poel was very unlucky. That was a brave effort by him in a mountain stage.
One of my favourite riders, thank you Romain, and its going to be strange without you in the tdf again
Visma is the strongest team, look at the final result; Jonas is just at the right time of peaking for the TDF; Go Jonas
The way Jonas sprints at the top suggests there is more gas for an extended climb; Pogacar is draining…TDF here we come. Go Jonas
"Finally they were Victorious"😂
Good job,Tadej.3 stages wins and GC overall winner.A good preparation in aTDF.Salute to JV.He's a true warrior.
P.O.G.A.C.A.R. LOCKS LIKE 1000% LANCE ARMSTRONG, AND WHAT HAPPENED TO LANCE, I'M JUST SAYING
BIG THANKS TNT
see ya again tdf
Lenny's smile is both genuine and contagious. 🎉
The Goat decided he doesn't need that win. So generous
visma shouldn't be allowed to wear that shade of yellow at least or that much yellow in their jerseys. It's taking away from the actual yellow jersey
If roman was in better team lineup maybe he could have won a TDF… He was up against the Sky train at his peak
Could Lenny be a threat with a better support team in Stage races ? Bahrain appear to be the poorer Arab supported team like Jayco.
God's creation & views are simply Amazing 🤩
Chapeau, Romain
Pogi looked even more dominant in this one, than in the wins before.
Thanks to TNT greed, soon Peep's will turn on the highlights and say ' what are those cyclists doing? Weird'
Thanks for the memories Romain Bardet! Always an entertainer right to the end!
