Join me on a thrilling electric fatbike ride along the stunning riverside near Liverpool, as I cruise toward the historic Hale Village on a warm, blustery day. The route takes me right past John Lennon Airport, where massive passenger jets roar overhead, skimming low over the rooftops as they come in to land β€” a surreal and exhilarating experience!

Along the way, I meet a friendly local rider on a dual motor fatbike, who generously takes me on a tour of some hidden and lesser-known paths in the area, revealing the quiet beauty and character of this riverside stretch.

The ride culminates with a visit to the breathtaking 15th-century Tudor manor house, Speke Hall β€” a perfectly preserved piece of history nestled in the landscape, full of charm and stories from another era.

  1. Well that was an eye opener
Lived in Bootle area for 26 years Canada for 50
Actually worked at Halewood tranmission plant for 6 years yet never went to this neck of the woods
Very localised living in the 50 and 60's

  2. This is very interesting and informative. I had been to the lovely village of Hale many times when I lived in Liverpool; I got as far as the lighthouse and down Oglet Lane as far as the Air Traffic Control building, and that was it. Like a lot of people, I had no idea how interesting the shoreline was.

  3. Wow, how great is that to meet another rider πŸ™‚

those are somr lovely houses and yes I would be one to enjoy the mix of the grand, glorious with a modern rush overhead.
what a great place to enjoy.

a guy could fly in and step right out in Tourist mode. πŸ™‚
