[Music] hitting the road again two wheels in a dream well good morning good evening and good day today is day 35 i’m just starting to unwrap the calamity we came in in the rain last night as you’ve seen and can I tell you how slippery these were it was such a job you had to ride through these little little cobbled shopping areas that you think it’ only be for pedestrians but vehicles can go through there so this was our parking half under there that’s one lot there’s another bike up there so John’s on the phone now uh last night he found a a mechanic a tow truck john’s trying to get in his big big man in a little box oh god he can barely fit okay in 1689 there was a big fire that wiped out this city this building was the first building that was built in 16 90 the year after i pinched that from that guy up there hey Michelle everything’s sorted we’re back on track and I will tell you in a minute where we’re going it’s only 190 km but you know everything takes twice as long over here now we are doing the B500 which is part of the black the German black forest and classed as one of Germany’s best motorcycle roads so we’ll capture that riding through Freuden Stut and the Kinig Valley beautiful sweeping forest roads and we’re going to finish the day in Titusy a glacial lake town that’s what chat GTP has suggested we do and that’s what we’re going to do i’m just trying to get out i’ve parked in some places in my times but uh not in this sort so just another cars turned up just so beautiful here got a top spot hello great thank you thank you wow crystal bought me this she said it reminded of that you remember I bought that sporen when I was in Scotland i found a place for it there perfecto calamity’s got her flowers i’ve lost the saddle you know I think falls off goes on there’ll be more added by the time this trip’s over let me tell you all right we’re finally getting away oh thank you woohoo okay fuel i was pretty empty 18 L €30 $60 just totally off topic now um back in when I was in the Lake District my sister from Another Mister Bobby Fisher gave me this uh tin of Kendall cake cuz it’s famous for that well let me tell you I’ve been eating it these last few days to give me some energy it’s like a It’s like a pepperminty thing beautiful makes my breath fresh as well not that anyone would notice [Applause] here’s [Music] my take on the Black Forest you know that saying we have in Australia you can’t see the trees for the forest well this is where it originated see glimpses of the view but the camera won’t pick it up can you tell me for my Australian people why is it called the Black Forest why it’s dark outside oh it’s very black yes oh simple simple reason i thought this might have been that’s all yes i thought there might have been some mystical story okay there you go black forest is because it’s black at night beautiful beautiful look at that beautiful bottle now I’m having this ice cream which is a black forest ice cream cherry cherry chocolate ice cream perfect we’re going now looks great i’m not sure it’s the 500 it’s not maybe part of the Black Forest but the basically the the Black Forest is as you were told is a lot of trees it’s just a big foresty area and uh no doubt I have missed probably some great roads but you know you could probably spend 2 days here and still not see it all you may already know this or I may have mentioned it before but Germany has the most castles of any country but we will be seeing a castle tomorrow i’ve already forgotten the name of it but apparently it’s pretty spectacular so this is this is the Black Forest we’re in it okay lot of trees i’ll try and capture a view for you john’s bike was nothing more than it was just a flat battery so it wasn’t the alternator it wasn’t all the other things that they thought it might have been so got a new battery 30 minutes the thing was fixed at home holy so I want to I’m going to explain something too about um the you know the camaraderie between motorbike riders in every country that you go in and as Australia Japan England you know or the UK we ride on the left that means when oncoming bikes coming our way they’re on our right but we can’t take our hand off the throttle of course to do what other countries do so we tend to nod or put our right leg out just to acknowledge the oncoming bike riders our head’s nodding our foot goes out sometimes we raise our left hand if it’s sort of in an easy spot to do so but with uh Europe as in America we’re riding like we’re on the right side of the road so our oncoming bike riders are on our left so therefore we can put our hands out take the hands off the your um clutch side and we can you know give them a wave or a peace sign or two fingers down which I’ve been told means rubber side down you know be safe it’s a really nice camaraderie that all bike riders have no matter what country you’re in no matter what side of the road you ride everyone acknowledges everyone in most cases [Music] logging uh industry here oh I can smell it smells beautiful it’s a bit sad though isn’t it to see all those trees cut down black Forest look at that how beautiful is that this looks interesting like a little market town on the cobbled streets at least it’s not raining nice what a sweet town though i got to go at that building oh [Music] look at that view down there my god wow the condition of the roads are perfect really just just beautiful it’s been such an enjoyable ride it’s right up there actually it’s right up there in my top i don’t think I was quick enough to get those cattle i just tail ended Michelle i thought they were going and they didn’t and I accelerated to go and I just rear ended him so damaged their saddle bag which I will replace the light my bike’s fine went over [Music] so close to the hotel as well all right minor damage we’re all okay but I feel bad obviously I feel like look at this beautiful place we’re right on the lake so terrible i’ll show you the damage that I’ve done stuffed up this bag so I will buy new saddle bags and I will fix the Oh I’ve get the the light was that was off but they’ve taped it so minimal damage but I feel terrible no real damage on Calamity except this this has moved up and I can’t get it down again but everything still works so when I get to Lipno Well this is where we’re staying tonight crystal found this look it’s on the lake oh my god you know the old story i thought you’d gone and I was just looking for the traffic and I went and they’d stopped not making excuses it was a stupid move from the lift to my room okay desk chocolates beautiful this was uh €150 so nearly $300 Australian wow look at that i’ll find out what lake that is how beautiful okay now to feel bad for the rest of the night and continue apologizing [Music] we were like just 4 minutes from the hotel when it happened [Music] i am who I am wild and true chris the rider is just passing through stories don’t just happen you ride to meet them [Music] [Music]

  1. Great video again. Remember you can always fix minor damage to your bikes, annoying as it is, both of you were not injured that is all that really matters, safe journey all of you.

  2. Aaahhh 😂 Reminded me of the "Push Me Shuv You" Mad Max Scene,…Bah! Accident's happen, as specially when you are enjoying such a beautiful scenic landscape, more riding footage please miss,…. Wow 😳 That Delicious Chocolate Black Forest Cherry Gateau Ice Cream, Now that's what I call Sex on a Stick 😂.

  3. I drove that exact same road south through the black forest last summer. Wonderful and yes, the roads are so much better than the UK. Quieter too I noticed..

  4. Don’t worry those things happen No One Was Hurt🙏Now Thank U for sharing this I could spend many days & months n that area what beautiful scenery & beautiful towns👍✌️👍

  5. Ah sorry to hear about the little bump up, it sucks, however it's done, you apologized and will fix any damages, so just take a deep breath and enjoy the rest of the trip.

  6. Sorry to hear of the collision. Damaging somebody else's gear always hurts.
The Black Forest scenery is beautiful. I looked it up on Wiki. The name was Black Forest even from the days of the ancient Romans. It was so thick and everybody was so superstitious that they didn't venture far into the forest for fear of ghosts and demons. It was hundreds of years after the Romans that people started to go deeper among the trees and carve out tracks etc. Trouble with us Aussies is that we're not used to towns having two thousand years of recorded history.

  7. Everyone who's lived long enough knows that gut-wrenching feeling of having made a mistake that affected someone else. It happens to those of us who live life and do things. We do right by the affected persons as best we can and carry on. Don't let it weigh on the rest of your European adventure.

  8. Chris a saddle bag can be replaced. no person was injured so that is good. 🙂 Enjoying the scenery and love looking at the village/town with the homes and shops as to how they were built and look 🙂 Continue to ride safe 🙂.
