hello and welcome to highlights of the fourth and final stage of the tour to Swiss women swim women 129.4 kilometers today and Balan Roya goes into the day 3 seconds ahead of Damy Volering in the general classification third place Cassie Doma at a minute 23 a big day ahead of the riders with 1939 m of elevation the Queen of the Mountain still up for grabs it’s tight between Martac and Sarah Jagante and only 4 seconds separating the two riders for the white jersey of the best young rider heading out of Kusnath for the first loop the Alda Strasa and the Michael Kruz Strasa through this finish line with 90.2 to go we had the Tiso kilometer on our second big loop two bonus seconds with 32 and 1 seconds respectively through the line with 39.6 6 to go then through the react sprint and back up the IDing VO Strasa and the Michael Crew Strasa the summit coming with 14.7 km to go it was still all up to play for on the final stage we had Ne Bradbury and Michaela Harvey going on the attack with 74 km to go but plenty of attacks already on the fourth and final stage mart Laca taken the first queen of the mountains ahead of Sarah Jagante and Kristen Forner that meant that lack extended her lead but she had been dropped from the group farah Hashimi Junior Bstrom and Loves Adakus taking the second Queen of the Mountains points first three over the top henrietta Christie of EF Education Oly going on the attack no threat in the general classification the draw though of the Tisso kilometer was a lot for the Pelaton behind Christy took the first sprint and the three bonus seconds behind full lead out and it was the yellow jersey and the second place rider overall going head-to-head and Damy Volering just edging out Marlon Royster to close the gap as we headed towards the finish christy built on her advantage and was joined by Stephie Hublin of SD Works Pro and Julia Borgstrom of the AG Insurance Sudal team neither rider any threat to the general classification and they built an advantage of just over a minute as we headed towards the finish line and then onto the final two categorized climbs of the race fdj Suez we’re trying to set up for Dam Vering it was the Dig and Va Strasa the cat 3 climb martac teammate of Stephie Hellin in the break they were bringing it back sarah Jagante needed points over the top but Hablan hit the gas on the climb and managed to take the breakaway clear and defend the Queen of the Mountains jersey for her teammate with one categorized climb to go a helping hand for Misha Bradold to Maron Roya in the punch just over 20 km to go lead Tre were leading into the final categorized climb of the race with Alisa Balsamo leading in setting things up for Nisha Black out of the corner royster hit the gas and was shredding the Pelaton and she took it down to a select group cassie Nubia Doma Marian Bunell Streabal Dame Volering Ne Fisher Black all up there the second most important rider in that group though Marian Bunell the yellow jersey of Vizma Lisa Bike was distancing Elonora Chiaokco for the best young riders classification an attack by Niveadoma took four riders clear and it meant that all of the points in the Queen of the Mountains were gone so despite a valiant effort by Sarah Jagante it wasn’t to be on this occasion for the Queen of the Mountains onto the descent Roy hit the gas on the opening day she had managed to state the stage win after attacking on the descent fisher Black was distance on one of the corners cassie Neil attacking royer looked at Volering bollering looked at Royer would this be the moment where last year’s Tour to France fan winner managed to go clear royer managed to push Volering through to the front who took up the chase but with 9 12 km to go royer made her move nvia Domen not able to go with her initially this was a point where the Swiss rider would ride clear and come into the finish to take her second to Swiss stage win it was a valiant chase though from following and Nvia but Marlon Roya if you give her 10 m she’ll take minutes and she was putting valuable time into those chases behind 30th win as a pro second career win in the tour to Swiss Maron Royceer takes a home stage and a home race in front of a delighted crowd cassie and Iodoma out sprinting Damy Volering for second but the day belonged to Switzerland and Marlon Royer of team Moistar [Applause] marlon Royceer takes the stage ahead of Cassie over Damian following with Cabal Castelline Fisher Black Zart Jagante Homegrren and Bunell your top 10 onto the podium second stage win of this year’s Tour to Swiss for the home rider Marlon Royceer in the Queen of the Mountains Martac takes the Queen of the Mountains title two points ahead of Sarah Jagant the Aussie putting in a valiant effort to try and take back that jersey but Martac sealed it with points on the first climb of the day marlon Royster also takes the black jersey as the points leader she takes it with 28 points ahead of Dam Bolering’s 22 cassie Nuvia Doma in third yellow jersey and the black points jersey a successful race for Marlon Royster [Music] the general classification finishes like this marlon Royster takes it 36 seconds ahead of Damian Bolering 156 back to Cassia Nubia Fisher Black Zart Cabal Castelline Garcia Brunell and Chabokco your top 10 what a podium marlon Royster takes the 2025 tour to It's a bit sad that the women and here I think especially Vollering cant conduct themselves as professional as the men do, especially in situations when things don't go their way. Pogacar, Vingegaard and Evenepoel always shake hands right after the race and even wait for each other to do so. Vollering drove right past Reusser at this last stage and didn't congratulate her or just for a quick exchange. On the podium they were all nice but it still has some weird vibes at times. Just suck it up and congratulate each other (right away) no matter what. These things are small but matter. Especially if you want to grow womens cycling and it's necessary professional growth.
Congratulations #labiest
Very happy to see KN come home in second place today after Vollering's complete reluctance to contribute
Well done and well deserved, Marlen. Gratuliere!
🇨🇭🔥🥳
Yeah thanks for ruining it at 4:24 when there was still 10km left to our knowledge. Awful way to do a highlights reel. Leave some suspense for us that couldn't watch the race live!!!
