Those are regular vans. If you get some vans skate shoes they last way longer

The only non-skate vans worth riding in are suede old school high emphasis on suede

  4. Knu skools are technically a casual sneaker I believe. Vans makes their casual lineup of sneakers with slightly different materials IIRC. I used to buy the cheaper department store models of vans and would blow them out almost immediately – but when I started buying the skate varieties and old skools (etc) I noticed they last longer. I still go through shoes pretty frequently though…

Check out the Ride Concepts Vice and Vice Mid. They are technically a DJ/MTB shoe but who cares. I don’t know what other people’s experience with them has been but I had a pair and they seem pretty decent albeit with a slightly longer break in time, but they gripped well and lasted much longer than any 5-10s I’ve had.

I use regular vans and just replace the glued insole. I only brake using the toe and the heel part.I use the heel part on braking more. I have both the bmx old school version and normal vans I just like using the regular versions sometimes for more pedal feel.

I love vans, especially for their style, but the quality I grew up with versus the quality now. Spent almost $200 on a pair of vans and I had to bring them back three times because the soul kept separating prematurely. Which really breaks my heart because I’ve always been a fan of vans as a company.

Your braking with the toe right? And you have to get “Skate” vans for them not to come apart on the sides so easy.
