I like the look – the ghost bike effect is cool – but yeah ultimately those tires arent your best option for performance – for a good balance of speed and protection I like and recommend Michelin Power cup, Veloflex Race or Continental GP 5000 but on those don’t get the gumwall/tan sidewalls even though they look amazing ‘Bicycle rolling resistance’ did a comparison and they aren’t as fast as the all black version. Good luck with the new bike.
