I found this 1984 Schwinn Le Tour at the thrift store a couple weeks back. I popped a 700c wheelset in there and discovered it clears 38c Panaracers quite nicely. I was looking at throwing a Nitto Technomic stem and VO Randonneur handlebar for some extra height and width in the cockpit. I had these just waiting in the garage for the right bike. After that I was just going to call it a day and ride it. New pedals, chain, brake pads, seat, and bar tape obviously. Dang it. 21.1mm quill stem. Luckily the stock stem looks good.. I might flat bar swap this now or maybe get a Nitto Mustache bar so I don't need to change the brake levers.

Someone makes a 21.1 threadless adapter. That’s what I used for my le tour
There are 21.1 Nitto Technomics floating around out there. A few other decent options, as well. The adapter is always an option but I just can’t stomach them.
Pretty bike!
,,I,o
I have a ti bike that requires a 27.4mm seat post.
The OG post was pretty gnarly so I called Thomson. Guy said hang on and put the phone down for 5 minutes and came back and said he found a black, non setback 27.4 x 410. He said they hadn’t made any in awhile and it was the last one.
Which was exactly what I needed. Thanks Thomson 🙏🏼

Jam a cut up beer can in there and send it
No imagination needed. I see you.

Looks good honestly
Bullmoose that sucker. 21.1 bulls are relatively common and very cool.
21.1mm bmx stems rock
Perfect candidate for 21.1 bullmoose bars
A vintage drop bar bike that clears 38mm in 700c is sweet. I wouldn’t convert it to flat bar, there’s enough flat bar hybrids around
A vernier caliper is the single best non-bike specific tool a budding bike mechanic can have.
Fight me!
The pink gravelkings on a silver frame is a winning combo!
