What’s a low-pro? Whatever it is, these bikes I’m buying! Sick rides.

When I ride brakeless, my ability to see danger is my only safety. On an average ride, I can only do a full sprint maybe 5% of the time due to obstacles in traffic. Even on a bike path, I have very few long empty stretches, and I’d have to ride through traffic to get to them. A more aero position would slow me down most of the time. If I want to go faster, I need brakes.

Aka:persuit bike: Made for competition as they are more uncomfortable and unforgiving: not made for the road or the masses: but in true Fixie fashion-they are to “one-up”the competition on how difficult they can be over the next guy. Peak popularity was over a decade ago, and most have realized it’s not worth being uncomfortable, to just ride
