Well… They obviously have plans for more. It is concerning that they were supposed to open a year ago and cancelled due to fire damage. And, with the extra year I suppose nothing more was done? I can’t imagine they were going to open with even LESS one year ago?

I also feel like they dropped the ball on putting in a small effort feature to kinda appease more skilled riders, while entertaining beginner riders.

A fun, safe trick table at the bottom within eyesight of the lift line would have been a great idea to keep experts from being bored and keep the line a bit more entertaining.

Also… It seems like the jumps on these lines are being built by riders not thinking of the overall hill pace while building. Hard to say cuz Dylan will always go too fast/far on any jump but… The way jumps lead into rollers/rises right after is a punishing design. It means fast riders will land into that uphill and beginner riders who wash out a tire from a bad landing will crash into the next uphill rise.

As it stands right now, I’m not even sure I wanna check it out for 50 bucks even with a nice lift system. Solid 4 across chair. But I think they really did drop the ball on containing anything slightly unique to a bike park, that you can’t find out in local trail systems.

The berms look nice, and the soil doesn’t look quite as bad as Snow Valley or Mammoth pumice, but time will tell on how it breaks down and if it gets hard pack braking bumps like Summit.

Did anybody go today? Would love to hear peoples opinions regardless… Obviously want this place to succeed but feel they are missing the forest for the trees on what makes a bike park special. It’s a LOT more than having a lift, especially in the modern day where e-bikes exist. It ain’t just about a ‘free’ ride…
