#HAOQI #fatbike #veloelectrique

Hi everyone! I hope you’re doing well. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, it’s a perfect day to test a good big electric bike. So, this one isn’t necessarily an urban bike, it’s more of a big fat bike, but you can also use it for urban mobility. You’ll be completely safe with its big tires and rear rack. So, it’s a fat bike with an approved 250W motor, but ten of the brand, it can go up to 750W. So you can guess that in the end, it’s a, I think, 750W masked as 250W to be approved and sold in France without problem. And the little name of this bike is the HAOQI Eagle 2.0. In terms of autonomy, it’s made to do 110 km. Listen, that’s what we ‘re going to try to find out through this video. Today, I think we’ll do maybe 70-80, in any case, I’m going to go until the battery is almost dead and I’ll tell you at the end how many kilometers I’ve done with this bike. That’s why, in this video, I suggest we take a look at its main features together. We’ll unbox it, we’ll go through it in detail, I’ll give you my opinion as well as my conclusion. Here we go generic! A little info that may be important for you: in all my videos, you have chapters. And yes, I put the introduction, the unboxing, the features, the pros, the cons, the settings and all that. So don’t hesitate to use my chapters. It’s in the little YouTube bar in the player below and then otherwise, you also have it in the description, you have everything that is well detailed. That way, if you ever look for specific information or if you want to go back to the video and review specific information, you should find it easily. There you go, I did this to make it easier for you to navigate the video. I hope you enjoy it, if so, give it a thumbs up. Just so you know what kind of bike we’re dealing with, I like to start by telling you about its main features. So we have a bike with a Bafang rear wheel motor, and color-wise, it’s available in blue and black. Honestly, the blue is super nice. So, the paint is a little fragile, mine arrived a little scratched, but in any case, it’s a nice metallic blue, super nice. It’s suitable for a person between 1.60 and 1.95 m, weighing up to 180 kg, which is huge. But at the same time, we have a good big bike. On my scale, it weighs 36 kg, which makes it a good big guy. It’s a big fat bike, right, fat means big. And this bike is currently available, it’s June 2025, at €1,499, or €800 off. Okay, that ‘s also a bit of bullshit, but anyway, thanks to me and the brand, you have a discount code that will allow you to save a few extra euros. I’ll put the link in the description above. Regarding its delivery, it is delivered from Germany and normally, after your order, you receive it within 3 days. And it has a 2-year warranty with after-sales service in Europe, so that’s not bad. We have plastic front and rear mudguards. Listen, they do the job. I always say, I prefer them to aluminum mudguards, it’s lighter and makes less noise with gravel. In the middle, we have a nice big box. So, it’s not the central motor, eh, that’s where the controller is, it’s the brain of the bike. And you have a rear rack that can support a load of up to 25 kg. So I put my panniers on it, so that’s really good. That’s what makes it really a city bike. So that’s really practical. So unfortunately, there’s no insert to attach a rack or a water bottle holder. It’s a shame, because frankly, there’s room to put it. I always put my accordion locks there. And finally, you have a very classic kickstand. And here, by the way, your screen while I have your full attention. You know that 80% of you watch my videos without being subscribed. So honestly, don’t hesitate, subscribe. Likewise, give a little thumbs up if you find my videos interesting. That way, it will help the YouTube algorithm, which will more easily put This video forward, and therefore the channel. And this is what will allow me to offer you more and more content and videos. So, in advance, I thank you. It’s free for you and me, it will help me boost the channel. Now unboxing. So, when you receive the bike, you receive it in a huge cardboard box that is super heavy. Honestly, I had a hard time carrying it alone. Unfortunately for me, the box arrived completely smashed and the bike a little damaged. Unfortunately, it was a little scratched, but hey, that’s the carrier’s fault, unfortunately it’s not the brand’s fault. But still, the bike is averagely protected inside. Honestly, we can do better. In any case, I’ve had much better protection on a bike. The bike comes with a pouch containing quite a few tools, the charger, and then a manual. It’s a manual in German. Fortunately, it’s pretty well done, you have plenty of illustrations, that’ll help you assemble the bike. In any case, it’s not very complicated. Tell yourself that it took me 15 minutes to finish assembling the bike, so I think you should be able to do it without any problems. The only thing that’s a bit annoying is putting on the front mudguard with the headlight, but hey, it can be done. It can be done. Before testing the bike, you obviously have to charge the battery. So, we have a lithium-ion battery with Samsung cells, be careful, so that’s a guarantee of quality, it’s really good. And this one is 960 W, 48 V and 20 amps. So we have a good big battery that should allow us to have a lot of power and especially a great autonomy. To do this, you need to connect it to the charger, which is 3 amps and 54.6 V. Either you do it directly on the battery, which is very well integrated into the frame, you lift the little cap and you plug in the charger, or you remove the battery using the key, which is not used to start the bike. You turn the key, you unpin the little wheel underneath, you take your battery and you can put it to recharge at home or at your work. On the other hand, tell yourself that it will still take you 9 hours to fully recharge the battery, so a little advice, do this after your ride, your bike to work, but not immediately after. Wait until the battery is cooled down to charge it. This is what will make it last longer. As usual, I’m going to talk to you about the comfort of the bike. So, at the front, we have a good big oil and spring fork with a locking button. So either the fork works or it doesn’t, you have an on/off position. Okay, I admit, it’s not a very, very good quality fork, it moves a little, it’s not the best fork I’ve had on a bike. In the middle of the frame, we don’t have any suspension and you don’t have any seatpost suspension either. So we have a relatively stiff bike. Then, you have big fat bike-type tires from the Kenda brand. They’re 26 inches by 4 inches. So, they don’t have reflective strips to be seen at night. It’s a bit of a shame, but you still have the reflectors. Then, regarding the quality of these tires, frankly, they seem a little thin to me and they’re relatively smooth. So, listen, you can do some touchin’ with them, but in my opinion, not in the mud. And then, we have basic grips on this bike, but they’re really mountain bike-type grips. It reminds me of when I was riding downhill mountain bikes. So, comfort-wise, listen, we’re about average, I want to tell you. Here we are in the forest, we’re going to be able to test the all-terrain. Well yes, still, it’s still a fat bike, a fat bike type mountain bike. Now, you have to find a place with a bit of sun, where there are lots of trees, as the other one would say, it’s a bit like the principle of the forest. Well, what a blast, you really go everywhere. Oh my, honestly, I love it! Ah, you really don’t feel the gravel, and you see, I tested it in an urban environment, but this bike, I think it’s really made for that. There, there are lots of holes, ruts, stones, I go through everything like butter. I really hope I don’t get a flat, that the tires will hold up, but… Oh great! I’m at 26 km/h without any problem and finally, the tires, Since they’re a bit soft, well, imagine that it really cushions all the bumps in the road. Totally in love, I validate the touch! In terms of riding position, I have a mountain bike type position. I’m still relatively upright, but I’m still leaning on my wrists. So it’s a real shame not to have ergonomic grips at that level, but it’s okay. I’m not completely bent over either, but I’m really in mountain bike mode. Let’s talk about the cockpit . So we have a large mountain bike type handlebar that’s 70 cm. On top of that, you have the grips we talked about earlier, which are also real mountain bike grips, free ride type, so relatively basic. We have the hydraulic brake levers, so they’re Zodes, I don’t know . In any case, they’re very good, you can brake with two or three or four fingers and what’s more, there’s an engine cut-off, so that’s good too. Then, we have the controller with which you can turn the bike on or off, you can change your five assistance levels with the up and down arrows. By holding down M, you change the information on your display concerning your mileage and trip duration. By holding down the bottom button, you activate the walk assist mode. This is what allows your bike to ride on its own up to 6 km/h. And by holding down the top button, you activate the front headlight and the taillight. The front headlight has four LEDs, so it’s super bright, and the taillight, which is also really good, is that it acts as a brake light. So, in terms of safety, that’s always a plus. Then, we have a real bell and it’s not a scooter horn, for once. In the middle, we have our display, it’s the GD06. With it, you see the power of your battery, so there are 10 bars, your speed, your assistance level, the power of the motor you are using, and then, your total mileage, your trip mileage, your travel time, etc., etc. And on the right, we have the Shimano 7-speed SIS shifter, which is what we have on the majority of electric bikes that I test. That’s for the cockpit. So this motor, it’s time to see what it gives, right? Don’t you think? It’s still important on an electric bike. So we have a rear wheel motor from the Bafang brand. So, it’s marked as 250 W, but the brand says that you can have 750 W of maximum power, so I might as well tell you that I think we have a real 750 W motor, but approved for 250 W and which propels you up to 25 km/h. So we have a certified bike and it’s 48 V and 85 Nm of torque. It’s associated with a torque sensor, which means that the more you press the pedals, the more you accelerate. You see, there I was riding at 15 and now I’m getting to 20, so that’s really good if you want to accelerate just by pressing the pedals. You can do it. So, without assistance, what’s the result? Listen, it’s not completely crazy. So, the bike is heavy, eh. Honestly, I’m riding at 10 km/h, so it can be done. As soon as I put assistance 1, it’s immediately a little better. I’m going to be able to change my gears. I get to 12 km/h. Assistance 3, it’s very progressive. I get to 15 km/h. And assistance 4, well, there, I get straight to my 25 km/h. So, assistance 5 will be especially useful on hills, and if you want to save a little battery power, you can ride at 25 km/h while being in assistance 4 and that’s not bad at all. Let’s move on to the climb test. Well, as you might expect, I’m climbing my famous Médon hill, I always do the same hill like that, it gives me a good benchmark. And listen, no surprise, the bike climbs it without any problem. Listen, here, if I push a little more on the pedals, I climb it at 20 km/h, which is really good considering the weight of the bike. I didn’t have too many doubts about the fact that this bike could climb big hills, but in any case, here I have proof without any problem. So the climb test is validated. In terms of standing start, how long does it take me to reach my 25 km/h? I’m going to put myself in gear 5, assist 5. I’m going to put myself there. 3, 2, 1, go. Ah, a little throttle, that would have been nice on this bike. So, 10, 12, 15, 20, 23… wow! That’s really good, We quickly reach 25 km/h with this bike. And in terms of responsiveness, how long does it take for my assistance to kick in? Not even a quarter, not even a quarter of the pedals and the assistance kicks in. So, we have a bike that, at a red light, will allow you to quickly go up to 25 km/h with assistance. But a little bit of acceleration, that would have been nice. Come on, let’s try these brakes. So, I have hydraulic brakes from the XOD brand, I don’t know, they’re E300, if you’re interested. And they’re paired with 180 mm discs. So, I have a red light, it’s going to be the… so there, hop, I’m at 25, I take a reference point, 1, 2, 3 m. Listen, it took me 3 m. I left a little rubber. So, the tires are still relatively smooth. I think that really for mountain biking, I repeat, if it was in the mud, in my opinion, it’s going to be… you’re going to slide everywhere. But listen, in any case, the brakes, they have good bite, the bike, it brakes. So, that, the braking test, it’s validated. In terms of autonomy, the bike is made to travel 110 km at 25 km/h. Listen, I don’t know how many kilometers I’m going to do with it, but in any case, I’ve already done… So, hey, by the way, I have to change here. How much did I do? 19 km, and I didn’t even use a bar on the 10. Well, knowing that it’s at the end, it always goes a little faster. But listen, maybe I’ll do them, those 100 km. In any case, I’m going to ride until the battery is almost dead, and I’ll put here on the side how many kilometers I’ll have done in total, knowing that I weigh 80 kg. It will depend on how you use your 5 assistance levels, your hills, if you have a lot of elevation or not. I try to do as much as possible on flat ground, just a few hills. In any case, this will give you a good idea of how many kilometers you can do with this bike. We’re coming to the end of this video. It’s going to be time to take stock. So, the advantages of this bike… So, in no particular order, obviously, the torque sensor, really good. It allows you to accelerate if you need to by pushing harder on the pedals. The look of the bike, it doesn’t go unnoticed. I can tell you that when people see me go by, they look: what is this bike? And what’s more, with the noise of the big fat bike-type tires , you can hear me coming. We have a certified bike that goes up to 25 km/h with a 250 W motor. In terms of autonomy, we have a very good autonomy with this bike, and we have good big welds, which makes us have an ultra-solid bike. Then, the areas for improvement, well listen, the grips. I would have liked ergonomic grips, especially since, in addition, you see, there, they leave marks on my hands, and in addition, I have black marks, which means that I am already wearing them out after 20 km. It’s a shame not to have an acceleration lever, at least that it propels up to 6 or 8 km/h, because the bike is really heavy to start. That would really be a plus. Concerning the quality of the tires, I have a little doubt, I really don’t find them very thick. Well, so far, I still haven’t had a flat tire, so that’s good. A USB port, frankly, would have been nice on the display too, to be able to charge my smartphone. I like this option. We have a very rigid bike. Rear suspension or at least, at the very least, a seatpost with suspension, it costs nothing, it would really be better. We would have a bike that is a little less rigid. And finally, the quality of the fork that I don’t find great. I have a little play in the fork, but hey, there you go. Normally, I’ve told you everything. In conclusion, we have, with the HAOQI Eagle 2.0, a real imposing electric fat bike that you can also use as a city bike, since you can put your panniers on the back. Listen, it’s a nice surprise. Well, it is, indeed , a little rigid, but it is really pleasant to ride. I had a lot of fun, in any case, doing all those kilometers with it, and it took me from point A to point B without any problem. So, thank you to the HAOQI brand for sending me this bike for Take this test. If you have any questions about it, don’t hesitate to ask me in the comments. I’ll be happy to answer them. And as for me, I’ll see you soon for more videos from the world of cycling and scooters on levéeurbain.com. Ciao, ciao.
