My rear wheel keeps shifting forward on the drive side when I give it the beans. I think it’s due to the wear on the dropout. It looks worse in person than it does in the pic. I have a good MIG welder and oxyacetylene torches, access to a TIG welder if necessary and 30 years of welding experience, but all of it is on ships and construction equipment, or sanitary piping, none on bicycle frames. What’s the best process to repair the dropout? What filler to use? How to preserve the temper if that’s necessary? Frame is an unknown higher quality lugged steel frame of 70’s vintage.
