Hello r/bicycling,
Just picked up a used Specialized Diverge E5. It’s my first road/gravel bike and I’m looking to hit the trail near my house.
So far, I’ve purchased bibs, helmet, and lube from Amazon. A Temu tool kit, and some accessories like lights and a phone holder.
I’d like to take this bike on a trail beside my house which is mostly paved and flat. However, I’d like the bike to be in tip top shape to ride smooth like butter. I’m planning on disassembling the whole bike, cleaning up any old grease, oil and applying a new coat. Additionally I would like to attempt to learn to tune-up the bike myself so I can be independent (but will go to a professional if I really have to).
If you guys have any tips, I would greatly appreciate it.
