The 2 riders that tragically died were 21 year old Owen Jenner and 29 year old Shane Richardson.

I was there in Sepang when Simmoncelli was killed, still vivid. For such a dangerous sport , fatalities are rare , but nonetheless seriously high risk when a bike is traveling at over 330klms +.

this sort of thing happens from time to time. rarely but it's not hard to see why it happens. everyone doing this accepts that risk but not many are unlucky enough
