back of what we’ve seen over the last 45ks or so Rob in terms of the teams here behind these two titans of our sport team Visma Lisabite u Emmeritz Visma Lisa took it up on that climb um UEIE team were almost nowhere to be seen but then with Nava coming back into the mix just the way they used Navas to detonate that group so early on that’s a it’s a bit of an eye opener really interesting but they’re using these smaller climbs to their advantage we know that Patcha is far more explosive the longer climbs we’ve seen infallible in the past although last year he was amazing but that’s so so smart the way they’ve configured their team to split this race up is absolutely brilliant it really is we’ve seen it already this week a tug of war perhaps even a boxing match with jabs given on terrain that suits the riders the most again we’ll have to see if it swings the other way this weekend on the longer climbs towards Vingu but if this is how they’re approaching the tour we are in for an entertaining three weeks mile the rai looks like that 2.7 km long gradients at their steepest right at the base of them 9% here before it gets a little easier in the final few hundred meters has on this steeper section it looks like Vingo and and Tad are almost riding approxim approximately the same speed after that initial acceleration to rip things apart it was clearly um that acceleration clearly put Yonas into the red a little bit it’s taken him a little bit of time to recover now he’s settled into the rhythm and is essentially ma matching the pace um of the man out in front who’s absolutely flying still seated turning a big gear again here rolling it round 1500 meters to go actually eases near the top we still got around a kilometer of around 9 or 10% and eases for the last 500 meters or so it’s all been talk of this Melissa bike hasn’t it this week how they were back they’re certainly boyed after the geo now then Jorgensson and well putting more strength behind the argument that they are back even if Vingor can’t hold his own at the moment with Pula work to do not his day he’s going to lose the yellow jersey sorry Rob yeah still a battling performance from Remco option for the general classification so teams built ever so slightly differently but I’d say from what I’ve seen today they’re pretty evenly matched they’ve got options for the GC team Visma Lisa bike but UE Mish have just torn this race apart teed it up for their man who’s taken that opportunity and Bulgato has been given the opportunity today to display his incredible capabilities [Applause] on the ropes these are the sorts of battles we want there still isn’t a great deal between these these guys we’ve still got two big mountain stages to come this race is absolutely fantastic one K to it’s above Sal in world championship country that the rainbow jersey is going to stand on top of the podium again this time at the Duffini this time in 2025 almost five decades pass but it’s the Rainbow Band shining here again and the modern champion of champions who win stage six of the Dofine arms in the air it’s a complete performance from him and he exchanges the rainbow jersey for yellow we now wait to see what the big damage will be to his big rival Yonas Vingore a superb performance there from the world champion teeded up beautifully by his team but when he accelerated clear even this man could not hold his will but it’s still been a battling performance from Yonas Finger set things up beautifully for what is going to be a thrilling weekend fighting all the way to the line we know this man has got so much bite so much spirit so much belief there were 22 seconds in favor of Vingor over Pugacha this morning 10 bonus seconds have just gone to Pog six will go to this man there’ll be a 4second bonus difference just like there was on the opening stage for the second time in a week they’re going to be one and two doesn’t matter if it’s the flat or it’s the mountains the board entertainers are here the big rivals though separated by a minute and one on the road that’s a mighty performance from Pogach they’ll congratulate each other and it’s not even a Paul to occupy
