This is day 04 of our May 2025 trip to Northern France on the Trans Euro Trail (TET). Today started with a trip to Motoland Amiens, where the guys there balanced my front wheel (within 45 mins) and then refused to take payment! So, it pretty much goes without saying that i’d thoroughly recommend them, if you ever need anything doing in that neck of the woods. They were really helpful, and even put up with my rubbish French, so nice one Motoland! Anyway, the trip continued along section 18, heading east, we stopped off at a couple of Commonwealth War Graves to pay our respects – and nearly ran over a WW1 artillery round – which was nice! They’re pretty much inert, but you still don’t want to mess with them – the locals call it the ‘iron harvest’ and every year more are bought to the surface, not surprising when you consider around 20-30% were duds!
right good morning Welcome back to the channel It’s day four Uh we’re in Amian and I’m going to have a quick trip to uh a local garage to see if I can get this front wheel sorted It’s still doing that very slight wobble under uh under 40 km per hour So I just want to get that looked at There’s a garage close by Hopefully it’s just a balance and uh and we’ll be squared away But yeah everything’s going really well so far Allan’s had a couple of offs Nothing too dramatic And uh yeah lovely lovely few days on uh on the trail really and it’s not open All right Let’s have a look See if we can find some else then [Music] So yeah that was good Uh little detour into Moto Land in Amons and they bounced my front tire for free So big thanks to them That was a that was a very very good gesture I’m always impressed by the uh community of bikers and how we sort of help each other when we’re when we’re out on our little adventures So that was nice Now we’re back on the trace uh just to the east of Ammon heading uh yeah to the east of Ammon and heading heading east Trails are nice A little bit overcast Mixture of forestry and farmland but yeah still very sort of straightforward at the moment No major dramas on the trip yet apart from uh Allan’s little 180 degree jump that he did yesterday I think he wants to be a stunt rider He’s doing very well He’s a clever lad regardless I don’t care what anyone else says about him He’s a clever lad Most of it’s all lies anyway I think Anyway that’s us Let’s get cracking Enjoy the day and enjoy the French countryside He’s a good boy Yeah this grass mate I mean it’s nice to ride on but uh cuz it’s overcast hasn’t dried out so it’s still going to be quite slippery It’s much much lower traction than people realize Heat Heat Heat Heat [Music] Heat [Music] Heat [Music] Heat Heat Heat Heat Heat Heat Heat up Heat up here [Music] Heat up here Heat up here Heat up here Heat up here Heat Heat Low hanging branches everywhere along here mate Just keep your eyes peeled And remember if you come across sudden dips just bend your legs and scoot your ass down a bit The suspension will handle it but you bending down a little bit just gives it a little bit more chance to react Heat Heat Heat up here Heat Heat [Music] Heat Heat Heat Heat Just think how many thousands and millions of all these marble tombston stones were made Royal Sussex Regiment all in the same all in the same sort of area Hampshire Regiment I mean all right we had we had Iraq and Afghanistan but we never had anything really on this scale when you know you knew when you were going up to the front or over the top It was like 50/50 whether you were coming back alive There are a few war graves mate You’d ride along trails like this and they’re literally just to the left of the trail That front line follows the length of the T from here all the way over to Belgium It’s roughly the same line Yeah I think we’re going over the what would have been the front lines kind of now Of course what you got to remember is that none of this foliage trees and that would have been here then it would have been completely open and uh devoid of cover which obviously made it Oh what was that Just to the right there Did I look just to the right of me as you come up about 50 m behind look like a shell on the side of the road on the side of the path It’s a Take Take a picture of it mate Well you Oh yeah All right Coming in Let’s go Heat up here Heat Heat Heat Heat Heat Heat Heat Heat Heat Heat Heat Heat up here Heat Heat Heat up here Heat up here Right Well that’s us really at the end of uh day four today Been a pretty good day Haven’t done a ton of off-roading It’s hard sometimes when you start riding around this part of France not to get sucked into stopping at uh at the war graves another site of historical interest particular for 2x soldiers Still it’s even a sobering thought today looking at just how many graves there are You think about that 50/50 chance of getting killed or wounded every time you go over the top I wonder how eager we’d have been to uh get stuck in in Iraq and Afghanistan if we faced those same sort of odds So yeah always thought provoking We’re on the last stretch of the day Hopefully no more incidents and we’ll find somewhere decent to stop [Music]

Hi guys have a great day of active relaxation in the great outdoors , it's hard to do between 4 walls , You 've taken a lot of views which clearly show that in wide open spaces no two paths are the same , drivers coming from the city must aprΓ©ciate that . here we find pieces of 14-18 and waterloo every day …
I realy liked this music
