

Sorry for this newbie question.
During the past few rides I got a flat rear tire every single time. I searched my rim and tire for sharp objects, but could not find anything. However, something stuck with me the last time I change my inner tubes as it was off (see picture). Could this rimtape be the reason why I get flats?

Almost definitely. Actually, yes, definitely.
Search your tube for the hole, and match it to the rim, it will help you confirm whether this is the root cause.

Yes, definitely…. Rim-tape’s job is to cover those holes because they have sharp edges that puncture your tubes.
You may be able to just re-position the tape to cover the hole properly… But if it keeps shifting again, then new rim-tape will be the fix.
