Can’t comment on these specifically but I have their gravel wide and XC wide wheels and the quality is great.

  2. I dont have experience with the enduro wheels, but i do have their trail wheels. They have been great so far and such a good price.

  3. I’ve had that wheelset for over 3 years. I ride some of toughest-on-wheels trails there are-South Mountain in Arizona on a weekly basis. I haven’t needed to do anything to them. They’ve also been down The Whole Echilada and The Lemmon Drop, including the last section, La Milagrosa, that is very chunky and sharp.

You can’t beat them for the price.

  4. I don’t know anything about their hubs, but otherwise it seems like a pretty good deal.

I’ve been running the trailwides for a few years now and they’ve held up great, rims are still pretty straight and no issues with the hubs.

I have their xc wide and I like them a lot. I’ll probably get their enduro wide if I build up a new bike

  7. If I was gonna buy off-the-shelf aluminum wheels, I’d probably go for Reserve since they offer lifetime free replacement. I believe msrp is $699 but they do come with DT hubs which are known to be bulletproof.

Also, the Hunt wheels on sale appear to be Super Boost only. That’s a 157mm rear hub instead of the standard 148mm. Does that fit your frame?

Edit: it says they might have standard 148mm, but there’s no option in the dropdown.

I payed $425 for mine about 3 years ago and ridden them rough since; haven’t had to do a thing to them since. Great value, imo

  9. If you have a DH bike with a dual crown fork, the front hub won’t fit. And if you have a regular boost 148 rear end, not super boost, the rear hub won’t fit.

So the reason that wheelset is so cheap is because it only fits like 10 bikes.

  10. I love my hunt enduro wheels. I’ve had them on my bike fir 3 seasons now. They’ve been more or less bomb proof. I just get them trued up about once a year and they feel great!

I had the trail wides on a hard tail and they were light, compliant, and I bent my front rim beyond repair just off a 6ft drop. That hasn’t happened with any other wheels. Granted I landed a bit sideways, but I’m 150 lbs. The enduros might be tougher but my experience gives me pause.

  12. I have the ebike version of these, they are derived from the enduro wheel set, and they have been really great for a year now. Take a lot of abuse.

Rode a set of these last week on my dad’s bike for 3 days. They felt great on Barrel and Zen Trail in St George Utah. For the price to quality ratio, I’m not sure they can be beat. Hubs roll fast and quick engagement. I loved them! Rode the trail model they have. If you’re not in a rush wait till black Friday they go like 50% off.
