The leaders on the Col de Fontmartin are the second challenge of the day. And Steve, as Antoine Besson and Jacky Durand have just said so skillfully and brilliantly, has emerged. A group of three riders sandwiched behind the group of Labrosse, Leinjse, Benjamin Thomas, Thibault Guernalec and Pierre Thierry. We have three riders who just attacked a few kilometers ago, notably Tobias Foss, the Norwegian rider from this Ineos-Grenadiers formation, and two TotalEnergies, Mathieu Burgaudeau and Mattéo Vercher, who want to move. I don’t really like this image of Lenny Martinez in last position. Isn’t there a problem with Lenny Martinez when Jonathan Milan isn’t in the last positions of the peloton? Yes, there is a problem. There is a problem for Lenny Martinez. Plus, not only is he hanging around in the last positions of the peloton, which isn’t really his place, we’re on a climb, no teammate at his side, so he must have a physical problem. Tobias Fos, Mathieu Burgaudeau and Mattéo Vercher are going to be picked up. We were talking about the teams that could control it. We were talking about the EF team with Nerurkar. They’re going to draw the EF with an attack from Alex Baudin, I think. It’s definitely Alex Baudin. Alpecin is making a move. As we said, there are a lot of teams that have every interest in making the race difficult for the Lidl-Trek. Look at Foss. He’s going to try to follow Alex Baudin, the rider from the Alpecin team as well. And Movistar is going there too. Interesting, Jacky. Very interesting. Lipowitz stopped for a bike change when the race was really underway. Second in the general classification, Florian Lipowitz, four seconds behind Remco Evenepool this morning. He’s wearing the white jersey, of course. By proxy, it’s Remco who’s also leading the youth category. It’s Ineos who’s riding. It’s Ineos who’s riding at the head of the peloton. While they have Foss in front, sandwiched in between. They have every interest in riding. Oh, he’s fine. Oh, Milan is fine. Milan is fine. With his close guard. The peloton is closing in at less than a minute, and the pursuers, as you can see, at less than 30 seconds. We still have all the participants, all the players in this fifth stage together in 50 seconds. There are a little over 60 kilometers left. A quick jaunt. Cyclo-cross in Île-de-France, kid, that helps. It’s great, you can hear them talking. We’re going together, we’re staying together, and we’ll have to accelerate on the climb. That’s what we just heard. Lidl-Trek is riding behind, but now we’re going to have to accelerate on the climb. That’s what Benjamin Thomas said. Yes, because the goal is that Lidl-Trek, on this climb, will get on the pace to keep Jonathan Milan. So, our goal for the breakaway is perhaps to gain 15, 20 seconds on this climb, or even a little more, and hope to have two minutes at the top of this little pass. And then, it’s not on the Côte des Quatre Vents, a little later, that the peloton will make up time on the breakaway. We’re in full control for the breakaway and, what’s more, we have good legs. There are a lot of teams that come to beat the Movistars. Look at Visma, with the solid Attila Valter, we were talking about that earlier. Maybe they’re the ones who will hurt Milan. Yes. Milan in second place. The teams in the general classification are coming here. Look at the UAE behind. Tadej Pogacar is moving up. We can see Mathieu Van der Poel’s line. They seem to be on a mission and we’re accelerating again. Here we go, here we go. Here we go. This time, we’re accelerating. The Alpecinn with Mathieu Van der Poel in second place. It’s Jonathan Milan who takes the wheels himself. Look at Jonathan Milan in Xandro Meurisse’s wheel. That’s where it’s going to be decided over the next four minutes. If Jonathan Milan manages to stay in touch. A few days ago… He’s far away, Tadej Pogacar, with Jonathan Narvaez, right behind him. Jonathan Milan, we’re not normally going to distance him. Barely 20 seconds with Tobias Foss, still. We’re trying to ride for Axel Laurance, at Ineos-Grenadiers. So, Milan, will we see him pass, he’s a little further back. Where is Johnny? We see Skujins. He’s there. He’s tipping, he’s tipping, no problem. Jonathan Milan is suffering, but still there. With Rémi Cavagna too. Paul Penhoët who has tipped there. There’s a break. They’re still at the back, but it won’t be long. Yes, it won’t be long, because we’ve figured it out, the earpieces have worked at Ineos, at all the teams that had taken the lead. They now know that Jonathan Milan is in the peloton. So, it’s no longer up to Axel Laurance’s Ineos team to ride. We’re going to stop and wait for Lidl-Trek to get back to the front. And during this short period of time, obviously, the front-runners should take advantage of it to gain 15 or 20 seconds. But in my opinion, in less than a minute, we’ll see Lidl-Trek at the head of the peloton. For now, we’ll bring Jonathan Milan back to the front and then we’ll go. Look, a reinforcement with Team Israel, which is sending Matis Louvel to ride. After Krists Neilands, it’s the Frenchman from Team Israel. Yes, because obviously, Jake Stewart has the chance to win today. Cycling is cruel. Punchy stages for the last three days. And in less than seven kilometers, the finish in Mâcon, reserved for sprinters, there are still 14 seconds to go. Jordan Labrosse, Benjamin Thomas, Thibault Guernalec, and we’re having a blast behind. It’s Tom Skujins, still leading the peloton. Up front, they’re putting on a show. Up front, they’re really putting on a show. It’s 10 seconds. They’re stalling behind. We’ve, as Jacky said, rotated the entire bench. We’ve even rotated the bench, but we’re a bit short of teammates to make the connection. Ten seconds, always ten seconds. It’s the Lidl-Trek who will be riding. We have the impression they’re right behind with this plan. There’s no one left who can take over. Benjamin Thomas can’t. It’s over. They’re done for. And Gernalec will still insist. Benjamin Thomas can’t. No, move aside. He’s moving aside, well done. Hats off, guys. Hats off, gentlemen. Two kilometers away, how cruel! We can see the buses, on the left side. It’s over for Gernalec. Jordan Labrosse, who, I was going to say, is prolonging the pleasure, is rather prolonging the pain, Jordan Labrosse. One last hurrah. We’ll see how things are positioned behind with Mathieu Van der Poel, very well positioned. I don’t see Jonathan Milan in the top positions, he’s behind. For now, he’s boxed in, Jonathan Milan. We’re catching up, Jake Stewart. It’s Guillaume Boivin who is repositioning his sprinter for Team Israel. He’s much further back, Johnny Milan, with two teammates. They want, Edward Theuns, Consonni, Stuyven, to position themselves, go a kilometer from the finish. Fred Wright is also well placed for the Bahrain Victorious. We’re going to try to place Paul Penhoët, we’re looking for him a little. Look at Paul Penhoët’s teammates, especially Clément Ruso. They’re on the right there. Yes, there’s shoulder pressure. And there, we took control in a rather severe and brutal manner. Three teammates. Stuyven. It will be Consonni, the last pilot, unlike the other day. It’s touched. Samuel Watson is there for Team Ineos. No Axel Laurance in the front positions. Here’s this 360-degree turn. The restart, be careful, no gearing errors. There are 800 meters left. He’s perfectly led. And we’ll perhaps try to anticipate to block Johnny Milan. Clément Venturini is there, right in the center as well. It touched behind. Evenepoel crashes! Remco Evenepoel is on the ground. We’re in the sprint zone and we’ll come back to the incident with Remco Evenepoel later . Mathieu Van der Poel is all alone, who comes to rub with Samuel Watson, who is now taking Jonathan Milan’s wheel. Jake Stewart is coming up behind the green jersey. Fredheim, Laurance, Penhoët, Pithie, not far either. And there we are. Consonni who’s going to launch now. Jake Stewart who anticipated. Look at what Jake Stewart is doing, it’s very good. But will he be able to hold on when Jonathan Milan launches his sprint? He’s caught. Jonathan Milan, he can’t. Victory for Jake Stewart. Ahead of Laurance, on the finish line, victory belongs to the Team Israel rider, who had already achieved a great victory a few days ago at the Four Days of Dunkirk. But this is World Tour. And then behind, obviously, the riders who were caught in the crash are going to finish. The question now, was he hit? Apparently, he fell. Look at his right shoulder. Enric Mas was also in the crash, it seems. It could cause damage. It’s beautiful. Very beautiful, this victory for Jake Stewart, who didn’t come close. This time, he hit the nail on the head and is stringing together victories at a very high level. The day we see Ackermann fall and abandon, it’s Stewart who wins. Here it is, the top 10. And we’ll say it right away: Remco Evenepool will normally be reclassified. And so, Remco Evenepoel will still be wearing the yellow jersey tomorrow. Quite a few French players are still in this top 10.
