Well I think its lucky. Is this bike worth anything? I dont want to sell it i just would like to know. Things haven't been great for me so I could use the pick me up. Its in really good condition too!
These old Schwinns are real beasts — the frame weighs a ton and the parts are nothing special. If it still has the original steel rims then the brakes are really not great, especially in the rain. They were also made in huge numbers, and are bulletproof, so they’re super common to find used and not really worth anything. But either way, 15 bucks is a steal for a rideable bike in working condition, so congratulations on that.

Nice, $15 is a great price to get on a bike if you ask me. Get some fresh tires and brake pads and lots of fun can be had! These bikes are tanks 💪
Hard to gauge the condition from the pics, but I doubt you’d get much if you wanted to sell it.

Is it worth anything? God no. I absolutely hated that style of brakes. Constantly needed adjustment to just keep them from dragging.
The only way that old bikes are collectors items is if you can put it up on eBay with a starting bid of $1 and it actually goes anywhere. Chances are you might get $50.
Also chances are, that was attempted before it went to the thrift store. Or by the thrift store staff.
