This is a bit of "which gear", "tech help", and "customer experience"…
Last Thursday I had my new Grizl:OnFly CF 7 delivered and the lever broke off the front axle during installation. I've had a customer service ticket open for a week now, and am less than satisfied with the service. The last communication from Canyon on my ticket was on Monday — they asked for additional photos (which I provided within minutes), and they have not responded to that, or to follow-up messages I have sent. At this point, I could have purchased a second bike and returned this one and I would be riding already.
I'm sort of torn, I'm a big fan of the company and it's products, but I'm also really frustrated. I'm not super wealthy, to me $4000 is a lot to spend on anything, especially a bike. It's hard for me to have it sitting in my garage, unrideable, and to feel like I'm not being supported by the company with my new purchase. A part of me does want to return it and explore a different brand at this point.
But, as I said, another part of me is a fan of Canyon and wants to stay with them. So I'm hoping this community may be able to help get me riding sooner than waiting for Canyon support. I've tried looking for a replacement axle for the bike, but a lot of this is new to me. I don't want to get something that is the wrong size or incompatible.
The axle I received is a maxle. Canyon's website lists Axle dimension: 12×100 mm. Printed on the axle itself are these dimensions L: 125MM, TL: 10mm, TP: M12x1.5. Trying to Google it on my own, it seems like this is the same axle (it looks the same anyway). The specs there seem to align with what I'm looking for, but don't include thread length. When I find a dealer that is actually selling them, the length and thread pitch may be correct, but the thread length will be 12mm instead of 10mm.
Would anyone be able to help with finding a compatible front axle that may be shipped in a timely fashion (US Based).

Check Robert Axle Project. I’ve got a set on my grizl.
Why are you a fan of the company if this is how they treat you? What else about them keeps you around? I just got my canyon and am terrified of the customer service stories.
