That depends on your goals. Are you gonna race? Do you want to lose weight? Are you just someone who likes to ride bikes and wants to ride more? Are you training for a century?
Unless you’re racing, it’s not a competition.
Either way, just ride your bike and enjoy it. If you make it a job you will burn out and hate it.
Milage will come with time. The more you ride, the longer you will be riding.
Some days you feel great and ride 40 miles. Some days you feel like riding 5 miles and no more.
Again, it depends on what your goals are.
And 10 miles is great for your third ride. 10 miles is 10 miles. well done.
