We went on a 150k ride with loads of short steep climbs in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Synopsis:
Meet Arnoud!
Tijmen recommends his favourite climb.
Jeroen has a new jersey and bike.
Gordon attacks the climbs on a steel bike with 1950’s gearing.
I film all of the above.

  1. Question for frank: Is there a rough guide that helps you determine saddle size and cutout shape or is it all completely personal? I’ve heard about measuring your sit bones?

  2. For Frank – what impact does the fore / aft measurement of your saddle placement have on your riding? I usually use the rotation of my bars to determine how upright or low I am, and my saddle stays kinda where it is (in the middle, where it came) so how do you determine what the fore / aft should be, and why does it matter?

  3. Great vid'. For Frank : as a bikefit prevents a lot of injuries, to complete this, what kind of exercices we can do out of the bike, before and after, to last in this sport ? And do I have to stretch right after a ride or wait that my body temparture drops ?

  4. Awesome video! For the bike fit: what difference do cleat colors make, and at what point a longer stem doesn't work anymore and you should get a bigger frame.

  5. Nice video again! Q for Frank: if your knees touch your elbows in the drops, should that be adjusted? Or if you are flexible enough it doesn't matter how bent over you are at your hips.
