Just picked up a mid 90s GT ZR4000 with some 700x23c tires. I would love to put some 32mm tires on it but not sure if it will clear. Any thoughts about changing to a bigger tire? 23mm seems way too small for me. I’m doing mostly 10-20 miles usually on mixed terrain.

Any time i see caliper brakes the size limit is usually about 28mm, in my experience.
Use calipers to measure the clearance or just take a guess. 32 looks like it should fit on the front.
Measure distance between forks, then subtract 10mm (5mm clearance).
Maybe you can fit a 25mm or 28mm. A poor choice of bike for mixed terrain, its a road bike.
Hope it was cheap.
