This might be sacrilege according to r/xbiking, but it's making me happy. Not finished yet, but I love the way it rides!!!
– Rattle can respray
– Only thing I spent real money on was the cockpit and basket; everything else was budget or salvage

Beautifully redone! Looks fantastic.
Awesome
That’s a great looking Paint job and build. The copper accents with the cream head tube *chef’s kiss*.
That turned out great!
Whats the stem adapter? Aka how did you get the handlebar so high
Now that is a glow up. Nice job!
I don’t mind the paint job (i like green and copper, you’ve tricked me !) but if I had to make a request it would be to put some new decals on it
Did you accidentally mix up the cable housing at the top of the seat tube lug? The brake housing looks too long and the rear derailleur housing too short
i love the colors you chose!!!!
i’ve had my eye on a this same Trek for sale in my area in my size, but I dont love the original color combination (i know sue me) how funny i get to see the same bike but in colors i dig.
OK great bike, but before I get started I have to commend you on the photo documentation. Not only is your before and after shot in the same position, not only are both pictures combined for direct comparison, but you managed to ensure they are both HIGH RESOLUTION.
Well done, sir.
Now, what did you use to paint those lugs?
That’s hot
Those lug accents are inspired. Very Riv. Very nice.
