Guy has it listed at $1350 – I know I could get a modern bike that’s technically better for the same price, but what can I say I like vintage bikes and this thing is beautiful
Listed as a 1985 Bottechia, don’t know the model or how it should be valued
Full description:
“1985 Bottecchia – green (restored). With Campagnolo Athena (silver), H Plus Son rims with Campy hubs and Challenge tires (25c) – Deda silver cockpit – Selle Italia titanium saddle (brown).
Measurements: 57cm c-c top tube 57cm seat tube 172.5mm crankset length
The bike is in mint condition.
I also include the Shimano vintage style pedals and Stainless steel water cages + Silca impero silver frame pump .”

It’s a super cool bike. No doubt it’s worth that price to the right person. You are however sacrificing a lot of modern features (gear ratios/shifting efficiency, hydro brakes, easier-to-find repair parts) with a classic bike.
If you’re looking for a city commuter/conversation piece/pizzazz I’d say go for it but maybe try and get it down to $8-900. If you’re looking for something to do century’s/fondos/races etc. I’d say look for something more modern.
Its a very nice bike.
Old school steel frame with a modern 11 speed campag setup. Lovely.
I have a bike like this myself, and with the right parts they are very concurrent with modern road bikes.
Mine has a 2×11 campag chorus group, carbon wheels and finishing kit, and weighs 8kg.
Botecchia are a legit bike maker, too.
If it fits you, and you are in the market for a nice neo-retro racer then go for it!
