Hi team, im an average short distance (sprint and oly) age grouper entering my third year of tri and looking to upgrade my roadie (2011 Scott Speedster s20) which i race with.
I’m sold on a Polygon [Strattos](https://www.bikesonline.com.au/polygon-strattos-s8-disc-shimano-ultegra-carb~5005804?gclid=CjwKCAjwyNSoBhA9EiwA5aYlb4zYld3Mj9dofFwjiUTEHwZfw6JLhr4ZpKsWXbpGTYfidflWrl9ZOxoCDTwQAvD_BwE) S8 (roadie) or a Polygon [Helios](https://www.bikesonline.com.au/polygon-helios-a7-carbon-road-bike-colour-blu~5019126?gclid=CjwKCAjwyNSoBhA9EiwA5aYlb-XGykoYC6W11K6YzXkIQXLGwrjddQBTK0BmmvjMJke23wFhfVFp2BoCeWAQAvD_BwE) (aero) because they seem very good value. The Strattos is cheaper, but heavier, than the aero Helios and both would be a significant upgrade to my current wheels.
My question: is the aero set up worth the extra cost to make a difference in performance to either my bike or run legs? I race at the faster side of average overall and by no means am I near the front of the pack – average about 30-33km (18.6-20.5 mph) in the bike leg.
