Just bought a new 20 inch folding bike. I need a rack on it but it will be for very light duties. Carrying a bag with sandwhiches and a bottle of pop in it. Would this be ok to use?
I know it reduces the amount the seatpost can be lowered when folding but this is not an issue.
I thought there would be an array of panniers for 20inch commuting bikes but there’s really not.
Thank you.

It sounds like it would be enough for your purposes but they also make some that attach to the seat post and have arms that clamp to the seat stays that would be MUCH more stable if you ever carried more.
Would a bar bag be an option?
I got the similar ROCKBROS Bike Bicycle Cargo Rack for my hybrid commuter bike and it has been great. I put a small REI trunk bag on it and carry my thermos, lunch, etc, in it.
I have one but I haven’t used it yet. It’s definitely going to scratch up your seat post.
I use a similar rack for my ebike battery. It holds up pretty good
I have a Topeak one and it is very stable, but the clamp is a little bigger than I’d like it to be so sometimes I touch it with my legs. If you put a lot of weight on it it makes the bike real squirrelly because of how high it’s mounted. I got a bolt on rack and never looked back.
I have one in my cart now! They look pretty awesome.
