Police are investigating after a teenage pedestrian died in a collision involving an electric bike and a grey Audi in Sheffield.
South Yorkshire Police said officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Staniforth Road in the Darnall area shortly after 4.50pm on Wednesday.
A 16-year-old male pedestrian was taken to hospital but died of his injuries, while an 18-year-old man, who was the rider of the electric bike, remains in hospital with serious injuries.
It was reported that the grey Audi failed to stop at the scene.
Police said a man and woman in their forties have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and remain in custody.

Looked more like an electric motorbike ( there’s a difference) and the car was on the wrong side of the road heading straight fot him.
the boy was not in the wrong driving on the correct side of the road where an audi opposite side tried to overtake and srashed into him boy was doing like 15-20mph

When I was a teenager petrol scooters were banned because they were dangerous. Police took mine. It's crazy that electric scooters are not banned without some sort of license.
The usual ferals on illegal bikes that more resemble motorcycles being antisocial in the community. Obviously the car driver was in the wrong and two wrongs don't make a right but I have no sympathy for any of them and sadly this is the UK today.
