Im always thinking: the more moving parts, the more can break. With my limited bikepacking experience I never came across an obstacle where a suspension would have made much of a difference really

If terrain only very occasionally gets rough, then rigid is the way. If it goes through singletrack a lot then suspension, but in that case I would recommend flatbars anyway. soooo Rigid it is.
