Looking to do my first bikepacking trip in July. I live in Texas in the Dallas area, so a July ride in my parts isn't viable. I want to do my first shake-down trip in New Mexico so it's cooler and offers some elevation. Does anyone have any routes (Garmin, Ride with GPS, or anything else) that they can offer for a one or two night adventure? I was thinking 40-70 miles so I can book a long weekend and not stress about a schedule, but not with crazy elevation. bikepacking.com has some, but I'm worried about the heat.
