I jus wanted to ask the community if this sound is normal in a bmx front hub specifically the rant party on v2 front hub. It happens everytime I apply pressure side to side while riding, pedaling and steering.
Part of me feels like it’s not the hub but the spokes ? I’m also a dumb ass so who knows lmao

Its not clear from the video what you are doing to make that noise. So I can only speculate on what it is.
A front hub is really only the shell, which holds the bearings, which hold the axle.
Then you have cone nuts to remove any lateral play or slop. If it’s a female hub it’s slightly different because nothing protrudes and you bolt into a central axle rather than the axle protruding.
Bit either way, if that clonk noise is created by lateral play or slack thrn whatever kind of axle you have is not snug to the shell.
So you need to give it a service. Maybe the bearings aren’t seated, or worn out, or maybe it all just needs a tightening tweak.
Aside from that, I guess it could be dish (?) Play (or bowl? Can’t remember) between the hub shell and the rim via loose spokes, but you seem to have ruled that out now.
There really isn’t much to a front hub. Just strip it down and see what you see. Sometimes with stuff like this you strip it and find nothing wrong then the problem’s gone when you putnit back together and it just needed some love.
