I am looking to get a retro bike for a winter rebuild. I am seeing this 1993 mongoose Iboc in good condition for a steal of a deal. Is it worth it? I know mongoose is typically trash, but we’re they trash during these years? It’s going to be under $25 dollars for the bike. My question is not so much if it’s worth it because it’s so cheap, but moreso about the quality of the brand in these years. Should I pull the trigger and make this a cool retro commuter? Or should I wait, spend more and get an old Kona or Norco (which are obviously better brands)
