and how about this for a way to beat the traffic and get a bit of a warm up too england’s cricketers were forced to hop on rental bikes this morning due to road closures near the Oval Stadium in South London their opponents the West Indies were late themselves with a game largely being delayed due to rain today now just before the weather have a look at this as a way out of a London traffic jam after the England cricket team got caught in road closures on their way to the Oval this afternoon and here they are speeding along on their higher bikes to get there on time they’re taking on the West Indies in a one-day international and I’m sure they feel the same it certainly doesn’t feel like it today but meteorological summer started this weekend after a changeable few days let’s get a check on the weather with Corsera they probably did get some play oh yes but there was some interruption actually I’ll show you a picture from one of our weather watchers who was there so yes uh as you’ve said unsettled conditions and that is a story I’m afraid so this morning many of you would have woken up to some outbreaks of rain you had to probably dig out that umbrella after it not being in use for quite some time this was a scene captured by one of our weather watchers in Twickenham you can see cloudy gray skies and as I mentioned one of our weather watchers was at the Oval you can see the covers here on the pitch and interrupted play because of the rain as
