NBD! I spent an entire day researching and constructing this idea. The rabbit hole of wind chime making took me on a deep dive into music theory and structure resonance – there's nerds like us in every hobby!

This was originally tuned to Dm7b5b9 because I love that chord but, if you saw my last 'post' (🤓), you'll realize why my intended Eb note had to be replaced with a high F. Still complements it well, I think. I'll post a video below so you can see this baby on its shakedown ride!

    So rad!

Wish I kept that Ultra with a stuck seatpost so I could’ve carved it up for this project.

Looks great! But as a neighbor of someone who has a wind chime on their porch and it’s directly outside our bedroom window I ask you to consider the noise impacts on your neighbors. I hate wind chimes.

  3. It’s cool and all, but seems like it would get in the way while riding. I understand the need for a bell, but seems like a little bit much. 😂

  4. I believe taking an old bike and making it functional again qualifies! Nice work!
As a fellow wind chime nerd I can appreciate the research you did for this. I think the use of Dm can give it an emotional feel, melancholy and yet winsome.

That specialized color way was x biking even when it was brand new and the bike was unmodded.
