Had such a wonderful time biking the NY Empire State Trail from Brewster, NY to Albany on my P line a couple weekends ago, even in the rain! Two other friends joined me on their road/mountain bikes.
Always fun to surprise other long-distance cyclists with the power and efficiency of a tiny Brompton. And having just 4 gears was only a problem for a country-road stretch of about 10 miles around Germantown, where the lowest gear still wasn't low enough to easily climb the rolling hills. My knees were a little upset about that. But the majority of the time I just cruised along in comfort.
Another friend picked our exhausted selves up in Albany to drive back home. Since their bike rack only carried 2, my brommie fit in the trunk. So easy.
Also saw many turtles along the way, along with a very angry crayfish! I love spring biking for the wildlife viewing.
