So it has begun. Today was the first day of my trip around Lake Michigan, starting in Brookfield, IL. I'm psyched and a little terrified. Made it to the first campground and set up my tent right before it started raining. Not exactly sure where I'm heading tomorrow, other than skipping over Milwaukee (I love MKE, I just don't want to get a hotel.) Wish me luck!

Years ago I did a bisect tour of the northern part of Lake Michigan. Had the time of my life. Took the ferry across!! Good luck.
