On this ride, the weather was lovely and sunny, so I decided to cycle from Exeter to the market town of Newton Abbot.
I travelled through many beautiful villages and climbed a number of massive hills along the way. My route took me on a mixture of narrow country lanes and major roads. From Newton Abbot, I cycled across Shaldon bridge to Teignmouth and the onto Dawlish, and Starcross via the Exe estuary trail back to Exeter. I absolutely loved my South Devon cycling adventure.
My observations are the subject of this ride. So come along and enjoy another great cycling adventure.

[Applause] jesus Christ terrible driving got two lights flashing out the front [Applause] [Music] [Music] oh hey [Music] hi guys welcome back and thanks again for joining me in my ride today well today I’m off to a place called Newton Albert it’s about a 45mile ride of about 3 and 1 half th000 ft of climbing it’s absolutely glorious today but don’t be fooled it is still a little bit chilly hence the reason why I’ve got my long sleeve top on right so uh yeah a bit of an adventurous ride today haven’t been this way for a long long time so as usual guys let’s go and see if we see anything interesting on today’s ride this is a bit of a bit of a new crossing for me today i’ve never been across here before well it’s newly in store to be fair yeah so uh I’m just going to see where it goes to heading in my right in the right direction this is a new cycle path here as well i have no idea where this goes guys oh we got to cross over again but that’s fair enough oh it’s an empty lot i can go right across that beat’s going on the other um on the other crossing up there so that’s quite handy ah that was a uh that was an improvement to my rides when I go this way this is a new bridge guys which is uh been recently installed and this is my first time ever cycling over it yeah I’ve been wondering uh when this new rout’s opening up my wahoo has no idea where I am cyclist join rejoining carriageway yep that’s right this is a road I wanted to originally take i don’t want to go in this [Applause] way it’s good job i had a quick look down at me wahoo [Applause] then yeah so I’m on my way up to Holden at the moment i’ve got a massive massive hill to climb hey ho that’s all good isn’t it that’s going to warm me up oh there’s a cat going to go bless [Applause] him jesus Christ terrible driving got two lights flashing out the front yeah this is a big old [Applause] hill i’m starting to warm up a treat oh my god I got a long way to go yet yeah he’s having fun yeah so uh I’m heading up towards Holden at the moment then I’ll drop down into Shutley and then I’m going to take a long long road out to past Libertton towards Ash Burton then I’m going to turn turn off and head towards Newton Abbott and from Newton Abbott to Timmuff Timmouth to Dorish and Dish to start cross yeah just when it’s uh steepier at 10% it gets even steep that’s a hell of a ramp in it guys probably don’t look that much on uh on YouTube but believe me if I’m stood up leaning over the front of a bike it’s steep believe me My bike rose so much nicer now i’ve had all the bearings in the in the hubs done guys front and rear and uh I must admit she’s running a treat she had a good good service um this week this is my first ride actually since uh since the service yeah i’m well pleased she rose so much faster now yeah the bike is absolutely flying along feels so so nice with the uh bearings done in the front and rear hubs feels absolutely lovely had lots of other stuff done done some upgrades as well well say upgrades it’s a it’s an upgrade that Specializ wanted to do into the battery they wanted it um in the down tube but Specializ wanted a special casing uh which they supply they wanted that put around the battery um cuz apparently I’ve not had any issues with this and uh Rob did check it out for me but apparently on um some uh customers bikes the batteries are rattling around a little bit i guess that’s on the V2s really um cuz they’re mainly a gravel bike so they’ll be ridden a lot harder I take it anyway they’ve designed the uh a casing i forget the name of it now but um yeah they just uh put this um protective casing around the battery i guess it’s a foam thing or something and uh it stops that rattling in the battery that uh some riders have been experiencing yeah that’s one thing I like about Specializ they really do look after their customers and uh make sure their bikes are up to date got latest firmware etc but um I can’t believe the difference in this bike with all the bearings been changed can’t honestly can’t believe [Applause] it the bike just wants to go now [Applause] oh flying down that hill then yeah [Music] good heat got all the fonting out got the Union flags [Applause] out yeah we just had a V day come on keep going [Applause] yeah you got to be careful there’s so many potholes here i can see in the shadows [Applause] yeah I could actually get to Newton Albert or the route I want to do i could actually get to it if I went over that bridge and took that cycle path but no today I’m carrying straight on [Applause] guys yeah straight on for me i won’t go that way it’s glass [Applause] they’re all off on their weekend travels aren’t they [Music] absolutely nutters aren’t they so I’m in a place called uh Libertton now nice little area just on the edge of Dartmore little running club [Applause] thereon yeah I must admit this uh road no matter which way you ride it um it’s a lovely road to go on it really is if you like road riding that is it’s got equal probably equal amounts of um rise and recines [Music] [Music] yeah so I’ll go to the top of this hill here take a left and then make my way down into Newton Abbert there’s a new one of it here I come [Music] heat heat [Music] and I’m taking a left where these ballards are yep yeah this is all new well to me anyway got to take a right now on the left [Applause] yeah so I got to go down this road and up onto the uh cycle path make sure I was taking the right tunnel then and as you can see from the mapping it’s one massive lump know whether this is a foot path or a cycle path if that is the uh sheer pedestrian cycle path I’m not comfortable in riding it to be fair [Applause] it’s a little bit too narrow i’m nearly at the top of that first lump still got 74% of the battery left and I’ve done 25 miles 2 1/2,000 ft of climbing [Applause] oh bless her picking up um litter from the grass [Applause] verge heat heat yeah my knee is absolutely fine today i’m absolutely loving these lake shoes oh my god they’re gorgeous they really are yeah they’re so comfortable and um I’m just blown away with how much more power you can get through the pedal it’s unbelievable i would never ever have believed it if I haven’t worn a pair of shoes like this honestly oh good man good bro isn’t that pretty there guys oh it smells lovely as well that’s all right mate yeah it’s lovely and quiet here guys isn’t it right I’m going to go across the bridge now and then I’m not stopping in Timmouth i’m going up over that hill there i know people got views on it but I don’t think they should be flying another country’s flight in our country this is the uh the alternative route I chose for myself busier than I thought I must admit i’m going straight on my road carried on i didn’t need to indicate i just nodded with my head cuz I could see she was going to pull out on me that’s a steep old hill this [Applause] is what little caravan there guys tiny yet it was a bit different going that way quite busy actually I must admit i’m down in a star cross now guys didn’t take long to get here [Applause] yeah it’s getting busy on the roads now [Applause] cube for the coffee shop oh he’s on a scooter nice path to actually go on on the scooter this is nice little trail oh they got a puncher he’s got his super duper race tires on I expect and uh got himself a puncher and holding up the rest of the group i’ve done 40 miles so far 3,528 ft of climbing and uh I got 61% of the battery remaining power is off at the moment the old cows are sat down look means rain’s coming i think rain is forecast for tomorrow to be fair plenty of cyclists out [Applause] [Music] today thank you [Applause] through the other side break there’s dad shouting the orders to the kids not a good idea having your dog uh loose running around the trails with this many cyclists about isn’t that gorgeous guys thought there’d be a few more kayakers on there today there’s one seen one right guys on this ride I have done 45.2 mi 3,668 ft of climbing and I got 58% of the battery left right guys that’s it from me for today’s ride i hope you enjoyed that one well if you did could you please give us a like because it really does help the channel grow and come and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already anyway until next time guys keep smiling and riding and hopefully I’ll see you on the next one bye for now bye-bye bye [Applause] [Music] [Applause]

I am going out tomorrow with okehampton cycling club for a 50 miles ride
The battery on the Creo (and 2) is secured by the 2 bolts under the downtube. These bolts can suffer with galvanic corrosion and break and then they rattle like a good one. I have 3 main batteries, so very used to swapping them. I swapped the bolts and used a nice bit of anti seize on to stop it going again.
Great ride Harvey suns out creo out ☀️🚴👍
Love learning these new to me routes, great vid as always 😉
Ride safe🙌🙌🙌
Busy route
