  1. Unlikely someone stole one of those, probably just fell off as all that piece is is a plug to keep your stanchion from filling up with junk. A bar plug for handlebars will fit in there and plug it up, or even just a piece of tape would do the trick. I would ask a bikeshop for a handlebar plug if you don’t want to go the tape route, should only cost a buck or two.

  2. That looks like a basic Betty spring fork. Those are glorified top caps. I would pound in a cork from a nice bottle of wine and call it a day

  3. Just ask the shop for a pair of hadlebar end plugs. They’ll match and look perfect.

    No one stole it, it would be easier and not that expensive to replace and even slightly upgrade the entire forks. Probably about $100 us online

    When looking at the stain on your fork I‘d highly recommend you instead of repairing to see it as an occasion to look for a new or a used fork of better quality …this one is anyway already scrap…
