It’s still listed under the XC category on Trek’s website but just look at the geometry of the 2024 model compared to the 2022 Fuel EX.
The Top Fuel now has a slacker headtube angle than the 2022 EX, a longer wheelbase than the 2022 EX, and only 10mm less suspension travel. What’s left that’s keeping the Top Fuel in the XC category?
I’ve seen a lot of discussions here in the past that write off the Top Fuel as not a viable pick for a fs trail bike but with the newest generation I think that’s no longer true.
