hello and official welcome to the Amsterdam vlog at the moment I’m peing with endorphins because we’ve been riding our bikes around the city and we’re just sitting actually there’s a way which is unfortunate but we’re just sitting near the canals and we ordered a drink each and some food is on the way so it’s actually our second day here okay i just had to abruptly stop recording because the waitress came out with our food um so we’ve just got something to eat i’ve got a um it’s kind of like a sigh bowl it’s like a protein bowl eric’s got a shack of sugar and we’re just having some like it’s like a late brunch by the canals and we’ve just ridden our bike to the city so far love Amsterdam could it be the best city we’ve been to so far the jury’s out i’ll let you know maybe once we finish up after the 4 days that we spend here but today our plan is to do a walking tour around the city have something to eat um probably cook dinner back at our apartment and then yeah we’ve got another three full days here and so far on point love it the hype is real okay we’re about maybe 20 minutes into our bike tour that Eric has put together in Amsterdam um at the moment I believe we are at a famous area where there’s a lot of breweries not that we drink alcohol but that’s just kind of what came up with the suggestions to have a look at i think more so like the architecture is just so stunning here it’s actually really um difficult to navigate riding a bike in the main CBD because there’s cars everywhere and people everywhere and I’ve had a few situations where I feel like I almost stacked it even though I can ride a bike but just getting used to it and it’s really cool cuz I’ve never ever been to a city where they have like designated bike areas on the side of the road where you just ride your bike non-existent in other cities and that’s what makes it so fun i can find an Urban Outfitters i just have to um we have to put our bike somewhere we might be able to ride okay all right all right we’ve just pulled up um and we think we’re going to do some shopping we’re just trying to figure out where to go okay I apologize i’ve done an absolute shocking job at vlogging Amsterdam because I don’t even really know why like the first day I got quite a bit of footage when we were riding our bike around and stuff and even I think I got some footage when we were having lunch but then it just kind of went downhill from there because I was very busy with work and we spent one of the days here at a music festival and so I didn’t really vlog or take my camera um and we’ve like not that we haven’t done a lot but pretty much all we’ve been really doing is riding our bikes into the city eating food working shopping chilling and like I’ve kind of just like this boring to vlog cuz I don’t really know what to show you but it’s our last 3 hours in Amsterdam before we catch the Euro start of Paris and Eric and I are doing another brick stapes walking tour around the city so I thought I would get some footage today hopefully to make that vlog well I don’t know i might combine this with Paris the Amsterdam vlog i’ll see how much footage I get today but I want to like beef this vlog up a little bit so I’ll get a lot more footage today as we are walking around the city all right we’re just leaving the train station now so we’ve just caught the train this is Amsterdam Central um and we’re just now walking to our first stop i actually have no idea where we’re going but I just thought I would capture the the city amsterdam does give me Melbourne energy cuz of the trams my hay fever is so bad i thought it maybe would have settled since Slovenia but I just had a bloody sneezing fit at least the sun is somewhere out today so it’s not as cold it’s been really actually quite cold here like 2 days ago it was like 14° and raining so not the best given it is technically meant to be spring um but I feel like now cuz we’re heading into France and Spain territory it’s going to start getting warmer um that’s fun fact that’s where we’re going this afternoon we’re catching the train to Spain um not Spain sorry Paris and then we’re heading down to Spain on Friday we’re in the main square now there’s like so many pigeons that’s the police eric there’s a golden retriever okay we’re now we’re just walking through the shopping area where all like the main shops are i finally secured a brown leather jacket it’s not real leather it’s fake leather but I was looking for one of these the past few days especially not even not even for like travel it’s more so when we get back to Australia um I just really like the style of this like former leather jacket and I found one in Berska which we don’t have Berska in Australia and it was only €45 so that’s such a win and I love it so that clip that I got just then is this place called the guide pop and look I’m not like a history i’m not the most explaining history but pretty much I think it was like built in the 1600s or the 1500s and Catholic women lived there um and it was kind of like all these houses around this courtyard and yeah it’s like a Catholic religious place but it’s pretty cool cuz I’ve never seen anything like that before um now we’re back on the main like shopping street and we’re going to try to find somewhere to have lunch soon okay now we’re going through the flower market and there’s all these green houses on the canal it’s quite busy actually you having fun hey having fun very much good good final day in Amsterdam definitely and the weather’s nice today so we can actually do this little walking tour with nice well doesn’t look very sunny but yeah you can see the sky there of course I’ve gotten a matcha I mean how could I have not gotten a matcha on our last day what’s faux history down there this oh this thing how did you know that was in Walker oh okay said it was it’s beautiful tiling and everything but it’s it’s fake well it’s not fake but it’s not as historical as it would appear right okay that makes sense we’re back at the train station now because we’re catching the train to Paris so that’s officially the end of the Amsterdam part i mean I don’t know if I’m going to make this a separate vlog yet or find it with Paris but that’s the end of the Amsterdam segment and see you in Paris i’m so excited to be in Paris you guys are the cutest and we’ve been having a ball so Carter cute sure i saw you yesterday how are you okay um your eyes okay quick update probably going to put some of the footage that we got from Tate McCrae’s concert in and you probably saw that before this so we went to Tate McCrae’s concert last night in Paris she’s probably my favorite singer at the moment and it was absolutely incredible we had front row seats and oh she knows how to put on a show a little bit worse for wear today i’ve had about 5 hours sleep so I had to get up early for client meetings but we’re now at the Palace of the Size so we’ve just purchased a ticket to get into the gardens area and we’re just making our way around now apparently this is like the palace to come and see if you come to Europe like this is the main one so yeah I’ll get some clips this is unreal like that is actually so stunning and then behind is the palace i actually didn’t realize quite how big this place is the gardens just keep going and going and going and going and it’s huge so like it makes sense why this is kind of the palace to come and see and I wouldn’t actually have known about it unless my cousins came here when they came to Europe a few years ago never heard of it before so I’m glad we finally made it to be honest there’s bit of a view of the palace behind me and then there’s more gardens up ahead my god okay we’re kind of walking up to it now yeah just gardens upon gardens upon gardens there one there there are some more of the gardens i just can’t get over how big it is crazy it’s a duck thoughts give me your thoughts i need an update from you it’s cool i don’t really have much to say we’ve spent like 10 minutes here it’s way too big after the day we had yesterday to explore so we’re both exhausted it’s a quick in and out job but yeah it’s amazing like the gardens and everything don’t you reckon we’ve gotten a good look at the gardens like a highle view of that and the outside of the palace so cool see what we saw what we came to see yes exactly
