Facebook marketplace description on Trek Singletrack 930 says:

“Excellent condition Trek from 1995. Manufactured in USA. This is an upper level model and features nicer tubing (Double-butted True Temper) and components (Shimano STX). 18” frame – size medium.

The bike has been fully overhauled: the wheel bearings have been disassembled and regreased. Bottom bracket is good. The shifters have been replaced as well as the chain. The brakes have been lubed and adjusted. The tires and grips have been replaced. Ready for another 30 years.“

Other Reddit threads make it sound like too much $ for this style of bike, but I wanted to check given the seller recently fixed it up.

  1. I would say yes given the condition and new tires. You can find these all day for 100-200$ but they need new parts and labor.

it’s a fair price. I wouldn’t say it’s a good price. You’re essentially paying for the parts and labor on the overhaul.

If professionally overhauled probably a good value. If done by the owner who is not a pro mechanic it may be done competently or not. Like someone else says a fair price but not a great price. If everything is done well that bike will last you a long time.
