Pittenweem Part 1 – Estarli 20.8

Took the Estarli to Fife on a two day break with my wife Lilibeth.
Great place for relaxing.

hi folks uh welcome back to my channel today well we’re on the move again and I’ve got the Sterling in the back of the car we’re at a we place called Pitt and Weim uh my wife’s busy doing something in the car before we get out aren’t you she’s smiling there and giving us a wave so uh a great place really it’s very picturesque uh very quiet as well going to be doing some cycling hopefully if the weather keeps up so certainly going to explore this we place looks like plenty places to cycle so that should be good so hope you enjoy it folks can you believe it folks uh there’s a sign up there saying no cycling but this is the place where we’re staying just up Bruce’s Wind uh unfortunately we can’t park the car just outside the house that we’re staying in but uh it’s just up this way and uh as the video goes on we’ll let you see see it but a nice wind in place here a bit like Curus [Music] really well folks uh we’re down at the harbor side uh just a few yards where they parked the car and uh we couldn’t ask for better weather folks it’s absolutely scorching here uh a little bit windy but you always get wondering about the coast but uh I’m going to try and relax on this holiday and try to de-stress and I recommend anybody who wants to de-stress is to come to a we harbor town and uh certainly destress here because there’s not many people about mainly just the elderly and disabled on a Monday uh no wait there with her i’ll come back famous ice cream shop here uh name And we’re going to go in there later on and probably buy some ice cream that was good well uh more stunning scenery folks and uh this we bit here that you’re overlooking it’s a bit unfortunate you can’t bring your bike along uh I could maybe push my bike along but I don’t think I could ride it because everywhere it’s no cycling and we actually asked one of the residents and they said “No we it’s just something it’s just for safety sake so I better not do it.” Folks after walking all the way from Pitt and Wayne to St mons there’s nowhere to eat here no even a chip shop and we’re starving so what is it what have we got we’ve got basically two bottles there lucas said we’re overlooking the the harbor here but look we’re having a rest we’re having a rest yeah it was a long walk buddy we thought um the East Smoke House is open for lunch for dinner so we walked one mile or more than a mile yeah more than a mile without any water or any food i know anyway we walk any food since probably this morning and it’s now about half past 6 at night nice what’s that though and then look at that oh nice view though and then you have that look yeah if you look over there we’ve got these what are they called the Kintire ducks i think some like Kintire ducks they’re called according to my wife uh never saw them before for these uh they’re virtually pure white on the top and a little bit black on the bottom that’s as far as I can zoom in but yeah very very lovely scene here very very peaceful oh and uh as I say I just dropped off a little bit of uh biscuit there and that I think that bird’s already taking it so that’s it the day so hopefully tomorrow we’ll get on the bike i’m hopefully anyway folks I know what you’re thinking i’ve got film of a garage door but it’s no ordinary garage door folks oh no it’s probably the garage door that’s got the best view in the whole of Scotland especially today with the good weather oh it’s just like being in Italy here fantastic views over Penwim spectacular that’s the harbor yeah it’s just beautiful never seen anything like it amazing oh I can’t wait to get my bike tomorrow and sort of uh follow them through my bike morning folks we’re just going to get in the bike this morning and I’m negotiating the the doorway of our apartment to get the bike out oops just get through the gate and uh I think I’ve got to close it according to the sign so going to close the gate again but uh yeah folks uh no cycling in this we lane so I’m going to have to hurl the bike down uh in fact there’s no cycling just to boot in the holy f and we especially on the narrow streets i think you can go along the prominad here so we’re going to do that and unfortunately this morning it’s foggy so uh going to have to put up with it folks i’m afraid I think it’s going to get nice later on but we’re just going to see what it’s like just along this end i’ve never been along this end so uh it’s quiet as a mouse as usual but it’s the way I like it [Music] [Music] there’s a we drizzle in the air and uh certainly keep you moist uh well uh certainly enjoyed last night in the apartment uh I’m not a great sleeper at the best of times but I managed to nod off after a wee while and uh I’m getting out early morning for a of my breakfast as I see there’s views of the harbor here uh it will get brighter later i think I showed you how bright it was uh last night when I was out for a walk with the wife but as I say she doesn’t need going go bikes so I moved myself this morning and she’s still in the apartment but uh it’s a great place you know uh it’s very relaxing there’s no many crowds about which I really enjoy these days i’m not really one for a crowded area and places where you can’t park all the parking’s free here and uh it’s fantastic that that’s the case and it is easy to park i don’t know what it’s like in the summertime but at this time of year certainly easy to park the car and the holy the whole place here is actually deemed free so uh oh I’ve got myself at a dead end here so we’re going to just uh burrow around and I’ll go up the sort of a high street way and see what it’s like up there i mean where I stay it’s usually absolutely crowded by this time but there’s nobody about and uh it’s that sense of peace when that’s the case folks well we’ll go up here and see what’s up here i spoke too soon of a glory coming oh folks some of these rock formations are pretty spectacular this morning i’m uh I see only a starly so I’m kind of hoping I don’t get a puncture but uh I had got certainly got uh no suspension on this bike but what a view here you know i know it’s foggy but it’s it’s also a sense of peace when it’s foggy you know it’s uh it’s uh something that I enjoy first thing in the morning it’s probably like a lunar landscape but uh uh certainly relaxing folks uh as I say Pitt and Williams is the name of the place if you ever want to come here it’s uh certainly I recommend it folks it’s very historic here uh this is basically the town center with the old church and uh I’d like to have cycled doing the high street unfortunately it’s a one-way system and I don’t know uh how to get it get to it from the other side but that’s the high street there uh coming down here uh this is the library area and the harbor so we’re just going to be doing this we winding road no I’m not even sure if I can cycle down here which I’ve got my doubts to be honest with you uh looks like I’m going to have to carry the bike down doing all these stairs uh yep so uh no getting much cycling done folks but uh okay we’ll go down here but as you can see uh there’s loads and loads of we winding stairs and places here and it’s not so bad going down doing but as torture gone up uh I’ll get rid of breath quite easy these days uh I’m putting that doing my age hopefully uh but uh we walked in this way yesterday but today as I see I’ve got the bike uh I’m going at a slower sort of pace at the moment unfortunately but uh it’s great to be first thing in the morning i think this is where we were yesterday the fingos cave uh area and uh yeah getting back down by the harbor it’s a very very small place folks it’s not very big but uh certainly a great place to come especially if you get good weather but imagine if it was bad weather it would be it’d be pretty pointless being here to be honest me but uh unless you like reading books which I do and just having a quiet time uh but it’s nice to get out and about too and that’s all the reason we came so I can try and get in the bike here uh so thoroughly enjoying it folks this is the area where uh the famous ice cream shop is and you probably see it coming up with the balloons and uh that’s it there uh and I think yesterday I also showed you the statue here uh which is dedicated to the the sailors who live in this area and uh I see my car’s parked over here and uh on the right where it says Bruce’s Wind that’s where we’re staying and uh as I say unfortunately this we area here again you’re not allowed to cycle uh was down here yesterday uh so I’m going to come off the bike and uh I’m going to walk with the bike along just a wee bit very picturesque along here uh it’s nice just to sort of take in the views in the in the morning i think it’s going to be another scorching day so folks as you can see it’s right foggy this morning so I’m going to head back and I’m going to get my breakfast
