Let me do some research, what’s the seller’s contact info?

“Just like most bike forums, if you can only take one picture of your bike, TAKE A PICTURE OF THE DRIVE SIDE!” Hope this helps.

Get him down to $350.
Is that a nuovo record drivetrain?

It’s worth the asking price. This Basso appears to be in excellent condition.

I own a 1984 Basso Gap, came with Campy Nuevo Record. Your crank arms appear similar. But your brake pads appear that your group is older, maybe early 80s. $400-800 sounds about right. I’d pay it, it’s a totally sweet ride comparable to the top of the Italian lines back then…comparable to DeRosa and Pinarello. The decal on the down tube should be Columbus SL or SLX for their best steel tubing used.

$424 Australian? $425 Canadian?

Wheels true? Shifts cleanly? Bike tracks straight? If that’s all good, seller will probably take $400. If you’re feeling generous, go the extra. 🙂

Update: thanks for the input, everyone. I bought it for $370. Wheels are true. Columbus SL. Any suggestions for how to clean grease off a campy nuovo record rear derailleur? 🙂

The paint job isn’t my cuppa, but those Campy high flange hubs… 🤤 Heck of a deal at $370!

Why don’t posters ever show the drive train? It’s the most important side of the bike.

I just spent $800 shipped on an E Merckx with Super Record. But it needs pedals and brake levers to be complete.
